July 16, 2026 Dear Rockwell Park Rehab: It is with great deep appreciation that our family writes to commend and thank Ms. Deborah Brown of your staff for the outstanding professionalism, compassion, and leadership she demonstrated during the transfer of our brother, Shawn Coffey, from your rehabilitation facility in Charlotte, North Carolina, to the Oaks of West Ketttering, a nursing and rehabilitation facility in Dayton, Ohio. Our brother, Shawn, is a stroke survivor whose transfer involved not only considerable logistical planning but also the coordination of medical, administrative, and family concerns across two states. Such a transition could easily have become overwhelming. Instead, because of Ms. Brown's exceptional leadership, the process was handled with remarkable efficiency, care, and professionalism. Throughout every stage of the transfer, Ms. Brown was organized, responsive, and attentive to every detail. She communicated clearly with our family, anticipated potential challenges before they became problems, and ensured that all necessary arrangements were completed in a timely and seamless manner. Her calm demeanor gave our family confidence during what was an emotionally difficult time. She showed a great amount of empathy, which was reasssuring to us. What impressed us most was that Ms. Brown treated our brother not simply as another patient, but as a person whose dignity, comfort, and well-being mattered. Her willingness to answer questions, provide guidance, and coordinate with multiple healthcare providers reflected a level of commitment that far exceeded our expectations. Indeed, her efforts transformed what could have been a stressful and uncertain experience into one that was organized, reassuring, and successful. We respectfully ask that this letter be placed in Ms. Brown’s personnel file and that she receive the recognition she so richly deserves. Employees who consistently provide service of this caliber are tremendous assets to their organizations and deserve to be acknowledged for their contributions. Please extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Brown for the extraordinary care and professionalism she demonstrated throughout this process.
