Robin Way will lie to you and claim to be an “age in place” facility. But what they really are is an “age in place until you run out of money” facility. My mom has been a resident at RW for 2 years. In July I put Heather on notice that mom would be transitioning to Medicaid sometime around October. We received a 30 day eviction notice on September 3. Coincidence? I think not. Mom has been struggling a little with the onset of dementia and Heather used that as an excuse to evict her.
During our time at RW these are the things I have noticed:
1. Missing meds. Seems like every month there were questions about why mom didn’t receive her pain meds or her heart meds.
2. The room was frequently filthy. Sticky floors, black mold on the window frames, moldy food in the fridge. We put mom in assisted living to be ASSISTED with the activity of daily living and RW frequently did the bare minimum of care all while charging an outrageous monthly fee. Mom had an accident and bled profusely..the puddle of blood remained on her floor for days until I made a fuss and they finally cleaned it up.
3. The food was not good. Even on family day when they invited the families for a picnic they couldn’t manage to serve hot food that was the correct temperature. Cold hamburgers and warm potato salad. I would drop in at dinner time to check on the meal because mom frequently complained about it. I usually found a thin lukewarm soup or other unappetizing meals. Nothing is more heart wrenching than a room full of our elderly picking at their meal because it doesn’t taste good.

I regret with all my energy moving my mom to this place. We were forced to move her and spend money she did not have to spare and n paying another move in fee to another assisted living facility. At her advanced age and limited cognitive ability, moving her to an unfamiliar place is the height of cruelty.
Don’t risk your loved one falling victim to this place. Do your research. Ask the director for a list of reasons they could evict up front before giving them a dime. Do not believe their “age in place” line of lies. They are in it for the money and will stop caring the second they have milked you for all you have.

Edited to add:
my mom had 2 cats while she lived at Robin Way. I got a call one morning that one of the cats had died overnight. I was at work and couldn't come immediately to deal with it and asked them to put the cat in a garbage bag and I'd come get it when i was done with work (I live an hour and a half away). I arrived to a stiff dead cat laying in his little cat bed at the foot of my mom's chair. She had to sit there ALL DAMN DAY looking at that dead cat. Then Heather tried to lie her way out of it and claimed the cat had "just died". Well, kitty was STIFF. Rigor had set it, which a simple google search will tell you takes around 3 to 4 hours to start.

seriously, avoid this place. The director sees your loved one as dollar signs and barely human.

I’ve been to Robin Way many times to provide care to their residents. The community is always clean. The staff are friendly. The residents I’ve seen have great things to say as well. The administrative team are approachable. The nursing team always communicate and address concerns in a timely manner. Highly recommend. Great job!

I deliver meds throughout the night on 7/26/25 I delivered meds and usually there’s someone there to open the doors they took 15mins to open the door and when the nice lady that did come down to open the door I came in and the caregiver was sleeping on the couch knocked out snoring didn’t wake up at all! Sad and neglect towards the residents that do stay there.

We toured several facilities, and Robin Way was clearly the best option for our parents. The Robin Way team always kept us up to date when our parents needed extra care or medication, and they took the time to answer our many questions quickly. The nurses, caregivers, and staff members were always on top of what our parents needed. When our parents required hospice care, Heather connected us with a service that gave us peace of mind and ensured that our parents were comfortable toward the end of their lives.

We were also impressed by the number of activities and how the patients interacted with each other. As for the food, our father loved the soups, and I ate their meals several times while visiting. It isn't five-star Michelin dining, but the meals are well balanced, and they will make sandwiches on request. Moving a parent into assisted living or into any facility is difficult enough, but everyone at Robin Way made the experience far easier than it could have been. We knew that our parents were in good hands.
