I would like to share my families experience with Homewatch CareGivers. My dad has Ahlzheimers and requires 24 hour care as Hospice is managing his end of life. We have been so happy with the care takers as they not only work very hard to gain a relationship with my dad but also the whole family. They are engaging with my dad which can be a challenge at time as he can be aggitated and he is also hard of hearing. They will cook, clean, run out to pick up someting at the store, bring my dad a cheeseburger, get my dad a snack, a drink of juice, encourage him to do a puzzle, do a double shift when someone calls off, wheel him over to the window to watch the birds or the landcaperse that were planting trees. They will do endless laundry, dishes, change the bedding, clean the litter box, sweep the floor and on and on. We would be lost without Ebony, Sabrina, Johanna, Sara, Andrea, Rosa and Sahara. The other side of this is the people behind the scenes which is Carrie that coordinates all the care takers, sends them all messages from the Hospice nurse so there is no confusion. Carrie listens to my concerns and helps me problem solve, this can be very stressful for all especially for my mom as there are many different caregivers every week and it can be difficult to manage everyone. Carrie has eased that challenge. And finally I have to thank Tia for her communication when there is a schedule change and sending me the monthly care taker schedules. It takes a village and my family and I are eternally greatful. Thank you Mary, Michele and Pat

We have used HomeWatch caregivers for about 5 years now, for my dad and his wife. Caregivers Dorry, Sandy, and Gabriel are wonderful, and we feel like they're part of our family, enabling them to be in their own home rather than in assisted living. We are thankful for them every day.

It was very easy to work with the staff at Homewatch CareGivers, they were very communicative and kind. Someone came to the hospital to evaluate my family member for a caregiver, and on discharge home they were able to get someone scheduled right away. My family member was able to work with Tim, and received excellent and respectful care at all times. Would highly recommend this company if you or someone you know requires caregiver services for any reason.

Home Watch is the second caregiver service we have tried and, although they are more expensive than the first, they are more flexible & the caretakers we have encountered are better trained. My father is recovering from an accident and, thankfully, improving every day. He lived independently prior to the accident and we intend that he live independently again by EOY. Balancing the support he needs, including what he needs to do himself as functional therapy vs. what he should not do yet for safety, with my work schedule would have been next to impossible without support. The caregivers from Home Watch have all been respectful, interested in my father’s actual needs, hard working, pleasant, and helpful. They actively communicate with me (e.g. there’s a load of laundry in the dryer, Lisa will be here tomorrow, etc.) without needing me to manage them. I very specifically chose to pay the premium for an insured company to manage staffing because I did not want Caregiver Management as my third job. I know I can leave a note with anything they need to know for that day and not worry while I’m working. Gabe in particular is amazing. My father, who rightly says he doesn’t need a babysitter, looks forward to seeing Gabe.
