My mom Wanda has been here for nearly a year. Her son's live in Seattle, Washington and Palm Springs, Southern California, so we don't get to visit weekly. About 6 times a year combined. Her sister and best friend lives less than a mile away, a deciding factor in choosing this residence over others.

Im currently visiting, spending all day with her from 10am until after 6/7pm. I was able to observe full days of her life.

Mom is an old 87, not a young, vibrant 87. But she gets herself out of bed at least 10 times a day and into her wheelchair. At least 4 times a day she ends up in the big club room with windows up to the ceiling. The room is beautiful with activities, refreshments, staff members and a "living room" with television and sofa.

The staff is unparalleled. Top notch, devoted, carring men and women who love their jobs and it very much shows. My mom is their favorite. Jalen and I had a nice chat in mom's room and she really enjoys working at Kenosha Place, and with her team.

The food quality and taste is atrocious, I'm not going to lie. Many of the residents told me how bad it was. It doesn't appear it has always been this way nor do I anticipate it will remain like this forever.

The residence is immaculate. Remarkably clean. Magement is on top of things.

My mother has never once complained or mentioned going home. She says she likes it there.

Dan Harris
