Well, this review may take some time. I was in the hospital for about a week and almost punched my ticket; needless to say, I was released to the care of, The Manor (skilled nursing facility). Of course, I was apprehensive to go, but this is where my review begins! As soon as I was brought in, I was welcomed by the staff (forgive me, I am horrible with names sometimes), mainly by the administrator. She made sure I got into my room and talked about what to expect for my stay. I felt at ease after speaking with her, and making sure I was comfortable there. Lisa (my nurse) and Patricia (my CNA) were the first to take care of me my first night. They were awesome!!!! I know this is their job, but they went above and beyond to also make me feel so welcome and made sure that I would not want for anything. I was embarrassed about being there, but they made me feel at ease. The very next day, I was already having PT make me get up and walk, and pushed me to move. Even Amber (my CNA), knew that I could do more than I thought I could, never made me feel bad for asking for help. OT (Golda), PT (Jeremy), they were so beneficial to helping me get up and moving. Realizing that I needed to believe in myself more and change the narrative. They are a large part of why I am home already. I am forever grateful for them. My family came almost every day, and my son made a new friend, Lisa my nurse! He was so happy to meet her because of how she treated him and he is now always asking to see her. I am glad he has a new friend. All of the staff is awesome!!! They all really make sure you are comfortable, and not once did one of them make me feel like I was not being taking care of. I could name so many names, but I would write a book at some point. **** The only downfall, is the food!!! It is not good, and I have had some bad food in my life, but luckily, I had my family bring me in food which made my stay bareable. If you want though, you can get the cheeseburger, or a salad, and those are not to bad. So, if you want to eat, try and order those before they serve.**** Even though that wasn't good, the 5 stars was made up by everything else. I hope I do not have to be in this situation again for a long time, but if I do, I would go back there. I APPRECIATE ALL OF YOU!!!!! THANK YOU FOR TAKING CARE OF ME!!!!
