My uncle was there and the staff was horrible they was not taking good care of my uncle .The therapist that was helping my uncle was very good to him .I would not recommend anybody to that place I give them a big fat 000000000000000000000000000000000 for there rating

I would never recommend this place for anyone. It does not by any means have qualified nursing care and absolutely does not provide skilled nursing and rehab services, as advertised. My love one was never bathed, nor changed when needed, the food was of poorest quality. I told the nurse that the wound vac needed to be attended and emptied, in return I was told the facility was not equipped to manage or attend to this device, within a few days I found the device was intentionally disconnected from functioning. When I reported the obvious possibility the wound was infected due to lack of proper care, the nurse looked at the device , shook it, looked at the wound area, restarted the device and said she saw no problem. When I called the office of the surgeon and spoke with the nurse with my concern, she called Embassy of my concern, the nurse at Embassy said she checked and found no evidence for concern, and she was only responsible for the orders to remove the wound vac on June 15th. Yet Embassy advertises as a wound care facility amongst other available care. My loved one is currently back in the hospital due to a condition which I am not currently in the know how whether it is related to the poor care and wound infection as part of the emergency situationyet. But I am overjoyed because this created opportunity that confirmed infection in his post surgery wound, and needed immediate medical care. I told the ER attending team I had tried to get the Embassy attending staff to realize for nearly a week prior to June 23rd that indication was obvious infection existed. I believe my prayers were heard and circumstances arose that lead to my loved one going to ER, as a means to get him out of the extremely poor care at Embassy Pickerington.<br>Please be on guard and closely involved if any loved one's go to the antiquated, poorly staffed facility of Embassy Pickerington. I won't neglect to say the maintenance crew from my experience keeps the entry and hallway areas better than some other nursing homes/rehab facilities . And I would grade their work for cleaning at a SEVEN of those areas.<br>Otherwise I hope going forward the State of Ohio investigate these facilities and reprove the medical teams, so citizens are provided sufficient care.

I would give it less stars if I could! Do not let these posed pictures fool you, this place is awful! I was taken here after knee surgery and for 5 days they just left me in bed. PT didn't see me until Friday for about 10mn and that was just to assess how far I could bend my knee, and I got there on Weds April 8th. I should have been up and moving, but because PT didn't see me or give the ok I had to lay in bed and use a bed pan until the next Monday! Not that it mattered anyway because the dingy little bathroom was used as storage for beside commodes, walkers, etc so it was a fall risk for me even if I could've gotten up. They did find me a bedside commode I'll give them that much. They have small 9x12 rooms with 2 PEOPLE AND MEDICAL EQUIPMENT CRAMMED INTO THAT TINY SPACE! If you and your roommate have visitors at the same time it's ridiculously tight. The rooms are dingy, the only time I saw it really cleaned was on a Saturday morning by a lovely lady named Candy, the rest of the time they only emptied trash and swept the middle of the room. I wiped off the tray table myself daily. There are some really great aides (Jennifer, Shay, Marion, Guy, Honesty) but the rest are very noncommittal, annoyed, and could care less. I pushed my light to use the bathroom and it was over half an hour before anyone came. I realize they are understaffed, but this place needs to be investigated. My roommate told a night aide she needed the bed pan and was told " you have on a depend diaper just go ahead and pee"! That is totally unacceptable!! Who knows how long she would've had to lay in her own urine?! My 3rd night there the nurse on duty tried to give me my roommates medication (Suboxone) that would have made me very sick or possibly sent me to the hospital! Thankfully I was paying attention and knew it was for my roomie. Then while the nurse is standing there looking at me blankly while I'm trying to explain it's not my medication, the aide that went to get my ice pack for my knee comes back in and tries to give the ice pack to my roomie!! The food for the most part is slop, you get what you get, my hubby brought me turkey sticks, granola bars, and fruit because most of the stuff I wouldn't eat. My roomie has her hubby and bestie bring her dinner most days, and a couple of sandwiches in case she gets hungry later in the night because she had bypass surgery and some stuff she can't eat. Don't even think about requesting anything special diatery wise it won't happen. Any questions about the food is met with a blank look then they walk away! Instead of the kitchen staff serving the meals, they pull the aides who are already understaffed off the floor and they deliver the food to the rooms which makes no sense because if someone needs immediate attention they can't get it because the aides are busy on the food cart! You can't make this stuff up! They are money hungry and just want to fill beds. Like I said these pictures are not reality please do NOT send a loved one here for any reason. You're better off to take them home if possible because this place is not going to take good care of them.
