Arbor Landing at Ocean Isle has been an amazing place for my parents. They truly care about their residents and it shows. We appreciate everything they do. Communication is great and we always feel comfortable with them.

We moved my Mom from VA to independent living at AL 1/26. The process was seamless with Linda, Amy and Kaitlyn at the helm. The facility has been newly renovated and feels like an upscale hotel. Mom’s room was very spacious and always clean. In fact, it was so fabulous (food and all) that Mom believed she was on a cruise. Well all good things must come to an end. She wanted to go home albeit telling me repeatedly how happy she was living there. With that said, they recognized the need for her safety and flight risk. She was transitioned in March to Horizons which is the memory care side. We had great trepidation as we did not know how Mom would handle another adjustment. Nor was she really ready for that level of care. Well Dawn K. should buy a lottery ticket ( I hope not as she may leave w all her $). She has been spot on with all of the advice she has offered. She has been so reassuring and available. In fact, I called her on her day off and we talked for about 45 minutes. She cares that much! Dawn has helped with every minor hiccup and Mom is thriving. She is absolutely where she needs to be. The staff in Horizons is extremely attentive to her every need. They are so kind and have such great attitudes despite working with a challenging population. I want to thank them all. Renee is the activity director and she creates a variety of engaging activities including field trips. She’s awesome too. So. At the end of my epistle. This is a hard decision to make for your loved one. You will question and doubt. It is good to have seasoned veterans at AL to hold your hand. My only complaint is that they need to flip the cruise ship around so mom can have a water view. She is tired of the land view:)

My mom has been living at Arbor Landing OIB in Horizons memory care for 5 months. I am extremely happy with the care she is receiving, I spend time there with my mom almost every day. The staff is extremely kind and attentive to every resident, the activities director knows how to motivate them to participate in a wide variety of activities, field trips to parks, ice cream, brunch, shopping, plus exercise, making pizza or cupcakes and games and crafts. I have seen the staff handle emergency situations perfectly and I love the nurse practitioner that is there weekly. The staff is excellent at keeping me informed on anything going on with my mom. The facility is always clean well maintained. The best part is my mom is happy, she tells me all the time that she feels well taken care of and safe, and how much she loves the staff. I'm so blessed to have found Arbor Landing.

I'm absolutely thrilled that my Mother was able to move to her studio apartment shortly after the first tour. She is enjoying her new home at the "Senior Resort".
