My father moved into Independent Living at River Park Senior Living. He has thrived since moving there... so many activities to keep busy.. new friends and a staff who cares tor each resident. He is a very active 95 year old who continues to drive, golf, and
socialize daily.
We have appreciated as a family the care and attention he gets daily... he loves the food and sharing meals with new friends... I cannot praise the staff enough for all they do to make hem feel welcomed.
Rebecca B. Roberts 6-25-2026

We moved Dad into the Terraces at River Park recently and love it so far! He really likes all the activities and being around so many others his age. Not to mention the great meals! He was honored as a Veteran this past weekend with a sweet service for flag day and we all loved it.
The staff has been absolutely wonderful and a huge shout out to Ashley for always being there with any questions we have (there were many) and for helping make this transition so smooth.
We absolutely love this beautiful and welcoming facility!

I highly recommend RiverPark Independent Living to anyone who is downsizing. We are very pleased with our overall experience. The staff is responsive, compassionate and knowledgeable. The overall atmosphere provides a sense of community and opportunities for residents to interact and feel at home.

My sister was accepted into the facility and it was one problem after another.
First off, a Physicians Assistant decided to take her off one of her sleep meds that she had been taking for 20 years because she didnt like that particular drug even though her neurologist was fine with it. She didnt even consult with her husband who has been her care taker for years. Somehow she was all of a sudden more educated than a neurologist. This caused my sister to lose sleep and absolute chaos ensued. She became irritable and violent.
A couple of the staff members were good but whether or not my sister got her medication when she was supposed or at all was always in question. Very poor communication with the person who knows her best, her husband for 40 plus years.
Because the medication was badly miss handled and led to my sister’s violent outbursts, she was evicted.
She is currently at a different facility where they actually make sure she is on the proper medication and are in constant communication with her husband about any changes or suggestions. What a difference. She is much calmer and no violent out burst.

My aunt with late-stage dementia had a terrible experience at this facility. A physician assistant immediately took her off medications that were prescribed by her neurologist — medications that were working — simply because she thought she “knew better.” That decision caused total chaos: my aunt stopped sleeping, became severely agitated and anxious, couldn’t feed herself, and even lost the ability to walk properly.

Staff routinely failed to give her medications unless family specifically asked. Because they cut off her sleep meds, she was awake at night and miserable during the day. Eventually she was discharged for “violence” — which is a symptom of late-stage dementia, and was created by their poor medical decisions.

When we brought her home and her neurologist put her back on the correct medications, she became calm and stable again. No violence. Sleeping well. A completely different person.

For $7,000 a month, nothing that was promised was delivered. No activities. No interaction. Residents sit in front of a TV all day. This place did real harm and turned our lives upside down. I would never recommend this facility to anyone with a loved one who has dementia.
