StoryPoint was spot on from the beginning (Oakleigh). The establishment is clean, everyone there is nice, personable and professional. It started with the assessment at the rehab, and then the tours of the place. Kyla is the absolute best, took her time to walk through the establishment and thoroughly explain everything to me, also took the time to make sure my mother will get the proper care and food packages. She helped me with all my questions and concerns in full depth and detail! Steven is a mm ace too and all the residents love him. I highly recommend this community 😎

Our parents were at Oakleigh for 4 years. They first resided in assisted living, mom passed and then our father moved to memory care. As his health declined, the nursing staff helped set up hospice and were very supportive and kind to both him and our family during this time. We were very pleased with the care our parents received and always felt they were looking out for their safety and truly cared about their quality of life. The amenities are second to none. The building is beautiful and well maintained. Activities were offered for all levels of ability. The dining room, sitting areas, outside patios and garden area are nice areas to visit with family and friends. Every visit I would ask our Dad, "how is it going?" His reply was always, "I really like it here. They take good care of me." Can't ask for anything more than that! Thank you for taking such good care of our parents Oakleigh! We were so fortunate to have found such a wonderful facility for our parents to call home.

If you love your loved one…DO NOT MOVE THEM INTO THIS DISGUSTING ENVIRONMENT. Your family member will be abused, overmedicated, or under medicated, robbed of their clothing, neglected, they will not be properly cared for. Employees are not properly trained. There has been 4 Directors there in three years. Rooms are not cleaned properly, laundry is left sitting urine soaked, the room will stink, you will be replacing furnishings and mattresses because they will be drenched with urine. I found bed pads stacked up upon one another between bedsheets and mattress pads that were drenched and stained with urine. You will pay for services such as salon appointment that your family number will never receive and you will never be refunded for it either. If you feel you need to put your loved one in this place get cameras because they tell a huge story. When bringing these serious matters to the attention of management with proof, they claim they can’t see the videos or photos you put in the email. This place is horrible it should be closed down by the state. They won’t tell you who the director reports to. Huge turnover of employees as well. I reported a very intoxicated employee as well. Person could barely stand up.

My mother lived here for over three years, and the care she received was truly exceptional. Every staff member—Rich (Director), Nick, Shannon (Nurse), the caregiver staff and Mary (Activity Director) —treated her with such kindness, respect, and compassion. She always said how much she loved the daily activities, social gatherings, and special events that kept her engaged and happy.

The community itself is beautiful, clean, and welcoming, but what really sets Oakleigh apart is the people. They go above and beyond to make residents feel at home and families feel supported. Knowing my mom was safe, cared for, and genuinely loved gave our entire family such peace of mind.

Thank you to everyone at Oakleigh of Macomb for creating an environment filled with warmth, dignity, and joy. We highly recommend Oakleigh to any family looking for a place that truly feels like home.

My father has been living at Oakleigh of Macomb for over a year and absolutely loves living there. The food is great! The atmosphere is outstanding. The staff is courteous and caring. There are creative events and activities for the residents. The big plus to Oakleigh is an in-house rehab gym with a full-time trainer that does light exercises with the residents to keep them active. Most facilities we toured do not have this! A very positive place to live!
