All we've got to go on is a person that isn't n will not ever speak the truth. So until I learn, see and hear differently after other residents that have no reason to not ten the TRUTH and alot of the people they're seen happy. I may change my stars!

Some years ago a childhood friend was a resident for approximately a year, and though I was only able to getup there once a week, I live in Albany, however we spent practically the entire day with him. Everyone I met from resident to staff were all decent kind people. The morning he died all three shifts were in the facility when I arrived, and it wasn’t the time of a shift change, they were his extended family and cried along with me. So if The Commons is half as good as I remember it, I’d recommend it to anyone.

As a soon to be former patient I'm leaving two stars for the great, but understaffed physical and occupational therapist's and a handful of nurses. I'd definitely recommend knowing and exercising your patient rights which isn't readily available to non-ambulatory patients and being a advocate for your own health care. The actual "therapy" is only about a half hour per day so in order to get better you need to do what they tell you on your own time otherwise your basically laying in bed 23 and a half hours everyday

Our niece and my sister in-law’s daughter, was a patient for several months prior to her death. The staff, from reception to nursing to housekeeping to facility maintenance, was at all times, diligent, professional, and caring. They went out of their way to be supportive during a very difficult time for our family. We are thankful and proud to have such a fine facility as a part of our community.

Very unskilled nurses seems the CNA,s make you much more at peace then the nurses although just a hand full ,Wich is to many. We already have a society where the pharmaceutical agencies control prescription medications we don't need robotic nurses thinking in the same kind of lines, there has to be some compation with out bringing it home with you, like maybe human !!! Everyone who stays here ,our lives here has one time or another has given up lot. The three stars are for the physical therapy ,very respectful and knowledgeable and skilled it's unfortunate that I can't give a better review ,the building is kept clean and sterile and it seems that they follow safety guidelines. That all being said the security is none apparent unless they thing you as the client did something wrong, all in all there is definitely room for improvement. On top of everything else I my self have spoke to the director of the cafeteria and the director of nursing about the food ,it's OK but when you tell them what works for you on a carb based diet ,it's like your an alien I my self personally like to stay around 5 1\2 carbs for meal since I left BMC south Wich I was on a 5 1\2 carb everyday for ,35 days have not seen 5 1\2 carbs yet ,keep in mind that it's not a lot of food it's just consistent carb.
