My mother has been in several memory care facilities and group homes since 2014 when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. After visiting dozens of facilities and care homes, I made the decision to move her to North Valley Senior Living. Nothing even comes close to this place. The ratio of staff to residents is excellent. It is clean, well-organized and they have a therapy dog which my mother loves. The previous care facilities were always losing her clothes and putting other people's clothes on her, which was extremely frustrating. It's refreshing to see her happy, clean, well-cared-for and wearing her own clothes! She gets all of her favorite foods and is served homemade nutritional meals which are cooked fresh for her on her schedule. Her private bedroom is cozy and charming. There is also a nice backyard with seating areas on the patio and near trees so she can get wheeled outside for some sunshine and fresh air. They are very good about pushing fluids and keeping her engaged in one activity or another. Every other week a beautician comes in to do her hair and fingernails which is included as part of the care cost. She has only been there a short time, but so far it's been a great experience. I was worried that moving to a new place would be hard on her, but she has adapted very well and gets plenty of attention. The place provides a sense that she is being left in the trusted care of family rather than a facility. I would give North Valley Senior Living ten stars if I could!

In early 2016, I was no longer able to care for my wife at home due to her advanced MS. Needing to find a care facility for her, I did some extensive research, and after checking out numerous care homes, I was truly blessed to find North Valley Senior Living. The entire staff there make you feel like family. In the over six years that my wife has been there, I have never heard of a single complaint, from her, or other residents, about the care they receive. Every aspect of her care is more than taken care of. From three delicious meals a day (and snacks), to medical issues, personal care, and they even have activities for the residents to partake in if they so desire. The dedication, knowledge and care provided by NVSL is above and beyond excellent. The environment has more of a "family feel" than a care home feel. They deserve more than a 5 Star rating, but unfortunately that is as high as the ratings will allow. If anyone is looking for a Care facility for a loved one, you MUST check out North Valley Senior Living. And if you do, ask to speak with Cheryl (my wife who has been there for over 6 years), and ask her about how she feels about NVSL.
