About Morrison Woods Health Campus

Morrison Woods Health Campus is a 68-bed skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Muncie, Indiana. The community serves residents requiring post-acute rehabilitation, memory care, and extended care, with a dedicated health center for advancing care needs.

Families consistently praise the memory care unit and therapy departments, describing staff as patient, compassionate, and engaged with residents. One family wrote that caregivers "constantly kept me updated on every step." Multiple families highlight the quality of meals and snacks, the cleanliness of the facility, and the competence of nursing and physical therapy teams. Residents and families report feeling well-supported during transitions and end-of-life care. However, reviews also surface concerns: some families report inconsistent care quality between admissions, long wait times for assistance, and frustration with nutrition and administrative practices. A small number of reviews suggest that care quality may vary depending on payment source.

Morrison Woods holds a 4.3 out of 5 rating based on 31 Google reviews. The feedback is notably mixed, with many five-star accounts of meaningful relationships and compassionate care balanced against one- and three-star experiences citing staffing gaps or unmet expectations. Prospective families may want to discuss specific care protocols and staffing during a visit.

I am so thankful for MW. My mom was there for a few months as she declined physically and mentally, ultimately in hospice care. The care and love that she received at MW was above all expectations. When she passed away, the staff was so supportive and loving too - singing as she was transported out. I will have that image forever in my soul. Thank you MW for making a challenging season as peaceful as possible!

The nurse and the social worker were good. If you want your parent to thrive then this isn't the place. The nutritionist couldn't define the word, they tout protein supplements but don't know the source of the protein. Expect the wait times for restroom assistance to be so long that going to the bathroom in the diapers will become the norm. This of course will lead to your other expectation, urinary tract infections. Don't think just because you use the bladder vac over the catheter that you will avoid the UTI because once they get you into diapers the delay in assistance ensures it. My patient didn't thrive and had to return to the ER after a week because the nutritionist can't even maintain my parents sodium level. I would never recommend this facility for anyone who needs assistance and while I'm not personally an RN my ex-wife was one and the DON for several facilities and I know a couple of administrators as well so I've been in a nursing home or two over the years. This place stinks and from my experience that's the first and most important indicator of the rest of your experience. If you walk in and smell poop then turn around and find somewhere else.

My husband has been at Morrison Woods since November 2023. I was told by a first responder, that had been to every nursing home in Delaware County, that Morrison Woods is the very best around. I can only agree as I have been impressed with the care my husband is receiving. All on staff are competent, kind, and caring employees from the front offices to the ladies that clean and do laundry. The nurses and techs work together as a team. The food served is very good and the daily menu varies from day to day. If a resident doesn’t want what is served, they can order from another menu. I eat with my husband occasionally for a minimal charge. This facility is clean and without the odor that is a problem in some other nursing homes. Keep up the great job. 👍👍👍
