My former review seems to have been deleted. Just wanted to make sure everyone still knew NEVER SEND YOUR LOVED ONE TO THIS FACILITY. Find literally anywhere else. My grandpa was left with such a horrific wound from an ill fitting back brace that it turned septic, they never treated it, never reported and he died from sepsis complications during what should have been a rehabilitation stay. NEVER.

My mother had Alzheimer’s, and a nursing facility was our very last option. Golden living in Muncie Indiana really fooled us. It was, and I’m sure still is horrible, abusive and emulates lack of empathy and neglect to their patients, and their families. My mother would complain about being hit, they would leave feces on the floor in her room, constant falls/bruising, malnutrition, etc…and trust me I wasn’t happy and demanded changes. However, nothing ever really improved. My mother passed away in their care, however I want to warn the next victim not to ever let your loved one be admitted to this horrible facility.

I just want to warn other families about this place especially with the covid-19 going around. There are no staff in the building and the aids they do have aren’t even certified with the state board of health. This means when those staff are the only aids there your loved ones will not even get their showers because these workers aren’t allowed to do that. U can clearly see the residents are neglected. There are no activities going on for our loved ones either during this trying time. All the residents either sit in their rooms or the hallways and do nothing because nothing is offered. When I talked to BREQUE the administrator she made up excuses and I never saw a change. She sits in her office all day and pays no attention to the needs of her residents. If it would have let me I would have gave 0 stars. BEWARE!!!

Well, when I was there visiting my mother from another state, they were very understaffed. My mother had been setting in her feces for a long time. She smelled. Granted these CNA'S are underpaid and overworked. Some are nice and other are just there. I was not impressed at all. I was very observant. It smelled and I don't think the residents are not taken care of. I would never have put my mother there but I had no say. In my opinion if it is not a private facility your loved one is SOL.

Golden Living Alzheimer's unit took great care of my mom. She lived there about 1.5 years. The care givers were wonderful to her. I am still involved as a volunteer to give back and show love to the residents. Thank you to the nurses, aides, therapists, and all support staff for your love for my mother. ❤
