I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the amazing care my dad received at Lansdowne Heights.<br><br>Justin made the move-in process seamless by meeting with me in person to review everything. Having him thoroughly explain each detail provided immense peace of mind during a transition with so much to consider.<br><br>Although my dad was on hospice when he moved in and did not have much time left, he truly made the most of his time at Lansdowne. He loved participating in the activities—especially balloon pool noodle volleyball, art classes, and live music—and I greatly appreciated the detailed weekly attendance reports.<br><br>We were especially touched that Justin and the team allowed us to use the activities room to celebrate dad’s last birthday. It was a wonderful celebration with his children and grandchildren that we will always cherish.<br><br>Natasha and the nursing staff were so patient and kind with dad. I got calls and updates regularly, which I greatly appreciated. One evening, Natasha and my dad called me just to chat and I am so grateful for that conversations.<br><br>Thank you all for the exceptional care and kindness you showed our family. We are forever grateful!

In short, from experience, I do not recommend that any family that wants the best for their loved one should place them at Lansdowne Heights. In our there were repeated many failures to provide the care that was clearly stated in the care plan ranging from inconsistent or even missed bathing, failure to assist with eating, failures to monitor residents such that many wandered into our loved one's room, and unwitnessed falls due a failure to adequately watch our parent. All the while, the case manager was gone for weeks at a time and simply was irresponsible. To rub salt into the wounds, when presented with evidence of these failures, excuses were made by the facility Director, "Justin" including, incredulously, that "we are really a assisted living facility". Now, if one only wants to "warehouse" one's loved one, then okay proceed ahead with Lansdowne Heights. But if one feels that at such a high cost, excellence and professionalism should be displayed in the care provided, then run from this establishment as fast as you can.

My husband has been a resident of this facility going onto his fourth year. It's been a long road just to get here, much less the slow walk home.<br>That said I want to spotlight the anchor of this facility: Sima Godard.<br>There are others with more administrative duties but there isn't anyone who will ensure that no only are the Residents needs met, but the care she extends to each family member is a blessing.<br>The time helping a Loved One complete their life journey is overwhelming but there isn't a request, a concern, a worry that Sima doesn't make every attempt to resolve and most times she's successful!<br>She is the first face you see when you enter the facility and often the last one. It seems to be her life's calling to help all she can and she does this with grace, charm and an endless amount of empathy.<br>Four years is a long time to be here.<br>I remain grateful for the continued kindness and care Sima extends not just to me, my family members, but to every family member of the Residents here that are lucky enough to interact with her.

Our mom lived at Lansdowne for the better part of a year before transitioning to another facility. It's well maintained, the next meal cooking in the kitchen always smells good, and a staff member is never far. It's a good fit for those who thrive in group activities. The central common area always has a full daily schedule and is busy with residents and staff. Quieter folks may end up keeping more to their individual rooms as our mom did, although the right event would still draw her out. A concert from a visiting string quartet was a favorite, for instance, and she loved the therapy dogs.<br><br>Everyone we met demonstrated unfailing kindness. Sima, Christiane and Elise especially went above and beyond the duties of the front desk. They took the time to connect with us and empathize as we learned how to deal with mom's memory loss. Their kindness and compassion meant so much to us.

Lea took good care of me when I suddenly had to face the fact of placing my husband in a home so he would be safe. Lansdowne Heights is amazing. His room has his own furniture and feels like home. My husband loves all the entertainment and outings. The staff knows everyone’s name. They truly care about their residents.<br>Thanks Lea for your help and support. It was not an easy decision, but it was the right one.
