Unfortunately the medical staff in Assisted Living leaves much to be desired from my personal experience. Perhaps I have been here too long, but I've been experiencing difficulty in a number of areas in management as well.<br><br>I am working with management to resolve what has bothered and annoyed me. Some of it has been taken care of. If you don't speak up, you're left in limbo!<br><br>The major problem is communication!!!!!

Sunrise gave my mother not just care, but joy—music, activities, and a warm, attentive staff who treat her like family.

My father has been here since March of 2024. The staff onsite is helpful and friendly. I like that all of the residents are included in activities, so that no one is alone in their room. I like that the residents all eat together. I like the activities offered, such as sing-alongs and games, which the residents seem to enjoy.<br>I would suggest introducing yourself to the financial person/staff at the facility, as their billing/finance department is a nightmare. The incorrect info from the finance department is unimpressive. A personal relationship with the staff financial person has been very helpful to me.<br>The facility is clean, bright and cheerful.<br>it is not an easy time of life, losing abilities and agency, but Sunrise Montgomery Village helps it to be as pleasant as possible.

Sunrise's extreme fee increase without explanations or budget documentations. No detailed service descriptions, results, and need assessments by independent medical or state agencies. No individual detailed increase cost proof released to the sole payer, her retired spouse. Medicare Benefits not accepted.. Sunrise's monthly billing to the spouse has more than doubled in the past 6 years to average to more than $12,000 a month Years of documentation are available to appropriate agencies and Consumer Reports.

My mom, Beth, lived in the Reminiscence (memory care) neighborhood at Sunrise at Montgomery Village for a little over three years before she recently passed away from advanced dementia.<br><br>Our family is incredibly grateful for the care and compassion shown by the caregivers and staff at Sunrise. From day one, they treated my mom with dignity, patience, and real kindness. The caregivers took the time to get to know her needs, preferences, and personal history, and that made such a difference in her comfort and quality of life.<br><br>The team stayed in close communication with our family, keeping us informed and always welcoming our questions. It never felt like “just a job” to them; we could tell how much they truly cared.<br><br>We want to especially thank her care team -- Roseline, Gladice, Gertrude, Danayi, Lazare, Michael, and Sandra -- for the wonderful care they gave her, along with Christene, who always made sure my mom had everything she needed.<br><br>Knowing my mom was in such loving and capable hands gave us incredible peace of mind. We would absolutely recommend Sunrise at Montgomery Village to any family looking for compassionate, high-quality memory care for their loved one.
