7/18/2026 My mother has lived here for 8 months. I live in Florida. I just spent the week with my mom, morning to night, at this amazing community. My mom needs some help and reminders throughout her day. She is very active and didn't want to leave her home. But she didn't have any choices there. She cant drive, she needs help with her medications and her body doesn't let her do some things for herself. She was lonely but it was familiar. She now has her own little apartment and she goes to "the restaurant" for her meals. I eat with her everytime I viait and the experience is friendly, inviting and delicious. She goes on outings, participates in activities, socialize with her neighbors and she doesn't spend a lot of time talking about going home anymore. I can't say enough about this community and the leadership team! I am so grateful for their gentle care and loving interactions with my mom.

Their employee, Sarah, goes online and makes awful comments towards people. Not sure if it’s someone you’d want to look after other people, let alone if they’re a veteran.

The staff treated my mom with so much kindess and compassion, which was the most important piece for our family when we moved her to Sunrise of Rockville. The staff made sure the transition went smoothly by fostering friendships with other residents and they made her feel like part of their Sunrise family for the 2 years she was there.

My father lived here for 14 (yikes) years and enjoyed his time in Rockville. He and my mother moved down from Maine in 2010, and he was very happy to be in a facility with lots of people, helpful caregivers, and better food than he would have received at my house. Also, the activities were more tailored to his interests. For a while, he was part of a Sunrise choir, which was fun for him. Eventually, he began to slow down, and the nursing staff, especially Jamah, and the caregivers (too many to name) were very helpful to him. I remember how, during COVID, Jamah came in to make sure that my father ate and drank during our Zoom session. Recently, I heard that Clinton is still at this Sunrise. I'm glad because he is a true problem-solver, especially when my father had some issues.
