My husband was at Sunrise of McLean on the memory care floor for slightly over one year before he passed away. Our experience there, I visited him every day, was as good as it could be under the trying circumstances of caring for an aging and ill spouse. Both the facility in general and the Memory Care floor in particular were managed efficiently and with sensitivity to the needs of not only the residents but also of the residents' families. The facility was kept clean and pleasant including tablecloths in the dining room and fresh flowers on the tables. The facility has plenty of windows and pleasant outside spaces for residents and their families. The food was good and served in a pleasant manner. The aides were attentive and caring, providing support in many different ways. I particularly appreciated the flexibility of the management. For example, I wanted my husband to continue working with his long time physical therapist. Sunrise made it possible for us to use common areas to continue those visits. My only wish is that my husband could have stayed with us longer....
