Based on my experience, I would not recommend this senior living facility to anyone looking for quality care for a loved one. I observed what appeared to be poor working conditions for employees, including inadequate air conditioning during work shifts and concerns about cleanliness and food handling practices. In my opinion, the quality of the meals served was poor and did not appear to reflect the level of care residents deserve. I also felt that the facility placed a greater emphasis on filling rooms than addressing concerns raised by staff or improving resident care. During the tour, the facility presents itself well, but my experience did not match the impression that was given. These observations caused me to question whether staffing, training, and oversight were adequate to provide consistent, high-quality care for elderly residents. I encourage anyone considering this facility to look elsewhere they do not care about the residents only $ to fill the spot in the room for another resident I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes meaningful improvements for both residents and employees.

My family were residents at the Hunter Mill facility for four months. I would say the experience, cleanliness and attentiveness was excellent, hence 5 stars. It is expensive -- but honestly comparable to any other decent assisted living/memory care - residence I've found. But I never felt the staff was aggressive in upselling or otherwise pushing for more money. That said, read the contacts carefully. :). The only suggestion: expand parking, or work out an arrangement and cross walk with the church across the street. Anyway, really enjoyed working and meeting the staff: Isha and Margie, and Kima and the rest were terrific.

After looking into my several places, I specifically chose the Hunter Hill location of the Sunrise franchise due to the people, and the general ambiance of the facility. It didnt' feel like a hotel or an institution. I felt that it was more comfortable and warm and that was best for my mother to transition into a place. Staff are genuinely caring and experienced in what they do. The cost is competive with other facilities in the area. I would love to keep my mother there indefiniltey but unfortunately, they do not take Medicaid.

Nice facility, attentive staff. I feel comfortable entrusting my mothers care to this facility. Yes, it's expensive, but elderly care is expensive in general. Sunrise at Hunter Mill is aligned with the rest of the industry in terms of cost. It's a friendly environment, that has nice weekly activities. Holiday outings are fun and the entire family is invited.
