I want to let management at Kirkhaven know what a special, professional, multifaceted employee Jun is. My brother has been at Kirkhaven for the past 10 plus years and Jun has been a constant. He has helped me solve some issues concerning my brother even though it wasn’t in his purview of duties. Along with being helpful to families of patients I have seen him rebuild the stone garden wall, direct and watch the parking lot, repair different railings on the first floor and any number of other projects. Jun is truly a great person and a “can do” type of employee. Kirkhaven is VERY lucky to have someone of his caliber working there! Tim Silva-Duffy ( my brother, Patrick Duffy, is a client there )

If you're looking for professionalism look elsewhere. Although they have some very competent staff the attention to important details is lacking. Missteps are not infrequent. Under staffing is not infrequent. Long response time was not infrequent and in fact as long as 9 hours. In good conscience I cannot recommend. Management it seems to me are more focused on the business end and that's a problem. As an example I requested to be showered multiple times. It kept being put off when the shower was right next door. NOT Excusable! On more than one occasion I had to throw a mini tantrum to get the proper attention. I witnessed the relative of one residence almost turn to violence he was so upset at his mother's treatment. My doctor just informed me that I was misdiagnosed and Kirkhaven was giving me the wrong medicine for a week. I received a large bill today after being told all of my expenses would be covered.

I have had to deal with nursing homes off and on for the past couple of years. It is too soon to write a full review of the facility but I do want to acknowledge the social worker I have been working with. Jacquie has been very helpful and patient while dealing with my family member.

I am truly grateful for the exceptional care provided at this nursing home, especially under the leadership of Administrator Cyndee. She has dedicated her life to ensuring that every resident is comfortable and treated with the utmost respect and kindness. What stands out most is how residents are treated like family, particularly during holidays or times when their own family cannot be nearby. Cyndee and her team go above and beyond to accommodate the personal needs and preferences of each resident, creating a warm and welcoming environment. It’s clear that this facility is not just a place to live but a community where compassion and quality care are top priorities. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a nursing home where residents truly feel cared for and valued.

My mom recently went to KirkHaven for her second admission for rehab after a hospital stay. I expressed some desires based on mom's first stay before her second admission. I saw my requests were taken seriously and met without question. During the first few days, I had some concerns that I took directly to the administrators. They met with me immediately and discussed each issue thoroughly without concern for the length of time it took. Mom received very good care at the facility for her entire stay. The aides were kind and caring, even when my mom displayed some resistance to following their requests. The clinical team worked in a very professional manner, explaining their plans and reasoning for the tasks being presented to mom. Mom also made many comments about how good the food was at the facility! Overall, I felt comfortable with the treatment, actions, and services mom received.
