I have a parent living here. Recently she was very ill, with a high fever. It got to the point she was unable to communicate.<br><br>Lake Seminole Square had no one available to help her, or even just sit with her awhile.<br><br>There is still a lot to like about the place. They simply need more staffing. I am not hopeful this will happen.<br><br>They are owned by private equity and leadership seems determined to squeeze every potential drop of profit out of the facility.<br><br>This comes mostly in the form of understaffing. They are dangerously understaffed. What staff is there, does not appear to be paid very well.<br><br>I asked someone in mgmt what the night shift is paid. She had no idea. Said "no one has ever asked that." In my experience, though, employees will "act their wage."<br><br>Recent changes to the food svc/dining experience have resulted in a predominance of lower quality, Sysco brand food-slop that residents seem unhappy with.<br><br>In general it just feels like this place is trending in a downward direction.
