My mom moved to the Villas in Homewood apx 2014. Made a lot of friends. Because of a fall and hip/knee surgery we had to move her to the Meadows. Rehab was mediocre. Nursing (CNA's) are overworked and I am sure underpaid. However, do not be fooled by the price range. When we moved her the price is now (as of 6/2025) $14,000/month and it would be more for a private room. It is not worth $14,000/month. When questioned the rate that is what ALL the rooms cost in this unit.

Our father was in AL at Homewood Frederick for only three months. Our experience was terrible. After some minor cognitive issues the third week he was there the administration told us “you need to look for another facility”. They did not support him or the family in any way. The activities in Assisted Living are scarce with most being on TV. There are no activities after 3pm. We asked for a lightbulb in the hallway to be changed as our father has very low vision and it had yet to be changed when we moved him out three months later!! We asked for his level of care to be reassessed as they were charging us highest level of care but he was independent in all of his daily activities. We never received a reassessment- we never received a post move in care plan or meeting for any concerns we may have. It was terrible and the most expensive AL in the area. The nurses and med techs were wonderful but did tell us to make sure we complained to the top.

Direction on this apartment complex was good well & fine. The exact road wasn't even listed or show. Had to drive around area for 20 looking to see how to find address & road to Park in area.

In the two years I have been here at Homewood I have come to appreciate everything that it has to offer. I was very impressed with the Benevolent Fund, Homewood takes care of its residents. The campus and buildings are very well maintained and updated. There are plenty of activities and social social events. My apartment is spacious with a beautiful view. I have told my family that I was so lucky to have found this place in which to spend my remaining years. I might add that the residents have been very friendly and helpful.
