Looks can be deceiving is one of the best life lessons I've learned and this place takes the cake on that saying. My grandfather is currently there and has been for some time now. The two major issues I have with this rehabilitation center are the lack of supplies/medication were they often forget to make note of low inventory considering they always seem to be all out o atleast one or more of my grand father's medications. The other issue is the true lack of care for quality of life where my grandfather often has to call an ambulance to the hospital for himself because the nurses refuse to call and often criticize him stating that there is nothing wrong and everything seems normal yet the tests at the hospital state otherwise. Please if you truly love your elders DO NOT consider the harbor house rehabilitation and nursing center in hingham.

My family and I were happy with my mother’s stay for rehab at Harbor House. The staff was very nice in dealing with my mother, which trust me, isn’t an easy task. We trusted that she was in good hands. She loved her nurses and the PT staff. Food was a lot better than the last place she recovered at. Mary has been great with the follow up after my mom’s discharge to make sure we have everything we need.

The facility and the staff were simply wonderful. My mother was well cared for-fed, washed, dressed in clean clothing each day, special food requests were accommodated, etc. The facility was very clean (it never smelled bad). When the patient next to my mother left- I observed a completely thorough cleaning - top to bottom - by housekeeping- I was impressed! OT and PT staff couldn’t have been any nicer and supportive getting her mobile. 5 Star experience.

Transported by ambulance following 4 days in hospital as the result of being hit by a car ... me being hit by a car, not my car being hit by another car. I spent 7 days in rehab unit. Physical plant is well maintained and provides a pleasing setting. Rooms were bright and spacious. Staffing very adequate, with several levels of support ranging from assistants to medical staff to Physical & Occupational Therapists. Very organized as far as letting me know who did what and what I could expect during my stay. For the most part the time line of treatment was fairly well adhered to, although there were some gaps in what was discussed and when it was actually done. Staff was consistently patient, understanding, helpful and very professional in our interactions. I was sent home with a clear plan and follow-up instructions that were carefully reviewed by the staff, me & family members. I appreciate being in a facility that provided such quality care during an extremely distressing situation.
