Is there a way to give them negative stars? My mother was "held" in this nightmare of a facility for nearly 8 months. She was admitted with a laundry list of conditions, most of which they were not treating. This made her mentally incompetent. Which led to her be left to be dealt with at the discretion of the administration. I was told that Medicaid would be selling her home and taking the proceeds because her "short term Medicaid " had expired. There is no such thing as our attorney had informed us and the facility. Also Medicaid cant sell your home. I was given 2 weeks to resolve this issue or , ( as I was told by them) she will lose everything. Two members of the staff pulled me aside and told me my mother didn't belong there and that is was a scam. At one point she was removed from the facility and transported to the local hospital for cardiac issues. They never informed me that she had been moved or that she had a serious medical concern. I only knew she was in the hospital because the surgeon called me to inform me she needed an operation. This was at least eight hours after she had been transferred. By this time we had an attorney and were able to not have her placed back in the care of Harbor. Instead we had her transferred to a far better place closer to family and friends. I'm sure that there are people there who do care and take care of the residents, but definitely not all of them are of that caliber. Maybe this was just a bad experience for us , but when you are told by multiple residents a few staff and even people at the local hospital how they feel about the place. I find it very hard to believe the raving reviews I see here. Please be careful when having your loved ones placed in any facility. There are plenty of good ones out there, and there are plenty of them that give the others a bad name. For this was one of the latter.

This was bitter sweet my mom came here on hospice and passed within a week but while she was there and alert she spoke highly of the staff and how they went above and beyond to ensure she was comfortable. One nurse in particular Tiara bought her food everyday she was there because mom was picky about the food while she was there. She checked on my mom even when she wasn't her nurse. Although my moms death broke my heart I have peace knowing she was well cared for. I hope this experience for anyone in the same situation.

Let me just say if I could rate this facility a negative zero I would. I normally don't write reviews but for this cause I was left no choice and it need to be known that this place is horrible, its disgusting, it's dirty, my husband was at Harbor health just over the weekend and the first day he didn't get anything to eat or drink, the next day he only had lunch, no breakfast or dinner and he's a diabetic!! They tried giving him thickend liquids although he passed his swallow test at the hospital, therefore leaving gim dehydrated. The first room he had no call light so I complained and they moved him, the second room had no tv or phone and mice traps in both corners leading me to believe there's a rodent problem. When the call light is on they just ignore it and because of all these bad experiences with this facility I tried calling and checking on him during the evening hours and no answer although they claim to be 24 hours. They barely dumped my husband's urine, vitals wasnt checked only blood sugar. The staff are rude and unprofessional. I was given excuse after excuse since he's been there. I wouldn't recommend a animal in the care of these people. My husband was miserable and not cared for properly. Run far away di not put your loved one or anyone you genuinely care about in this place!!! You have been warned
