My mother is currently staying at this facility and it has been rough. Today will be the third incident where staff finds it appropriate to verbally disrespect my mother by invalidating and yelling at her. I witnessed this myself once already as I was on FaceTime having a conversation with her prior to an aid entering her room, when my mother asked to be changed and mentioned it had been a little while the aid became irate and took it upon herself to say “it hasn’t been that long” idc idc idc if I shit my pants only 3 seconds ago it would be long enough for me, how about u? As an aid regardless of how one feels, it is her duty to assist with incontinence care and not be combative about it. Otherwise, what is she there for? My mother is in her right mind and even with this known fact they still have the audacity, I wouldn’t trust a patient with the inability to advocate for themselves to be in this facility under this kind of care. Today my mother was involved in a screaming match because after she warned the aid not to continue to raise her voice at her she, continued to do so, so my mom reacted in the same manner. As an CNA of almost 15 years I have to say this is cruel and unacceptable. I would never treat someone else’s loved one this way, and am so hurt that my mother is going through this.
