I wouldn't trust anything having to do with the Eddy to watch a rat, let alone a human in need! I asked for help from the Eddy when both of my parents had cancer at the same time, and I was in the beginning of my epilepsy health issues. Biggest mistake of my life. They slowly moved in, started taking control over my father who had the metal capacity of someone in grade school. They convinced my father to give them control after my mother's death, they told him if he stayed with me and let me control his money instead of them, they would no longer see him, he would no longer be able to go to their daycare. After my father started crying I stood back and let him go. I moved away and they felt nobody would be watching them. His money started going missing, they tried to accuse me when they had control over his money not me, they wrote checks, and used his card at atms. Fast forward to 2024, they told my father signing a dnr would mean he'd get more help in his apt so he could stay home, they put him in a nursing home I fought for weeks to get him out of because they told me they'd fight me. His nurse Cheryl Ashley, and social worker nicole rapkowitz told me they felt it was for the best and they wouldn't let me take my father. Every day I heard my father say they told him to sign because they said it was to get more help, he kept telling me he didn't want to die and it was hard to explain they made him sign something that would mean the doctors wouldn't try to bring him back. These people will take control of your sick family member and you will find yourself fighting to get them away in the end.
