Six years ago, after serious falls, my parents came to the difficult realization that it was time to move to assisted living. We were so very fortunate to have found The Terrace at Beverwyck. My parents thoroughly enjoyed their time at The Terrace: attentive and caring nursing staff, chef prepared meals, housekeeping, on-site physical and occupational therapy to improve balance and walking, assistance with doctors' appointments and with medications, numerous social activities, spacious and comfortable apartment, and so on. For my siblings and me, we had peace of mind that our parents were in a safe and welcoming environment. As my parents' health deteriorated, The Terrace staff was understanding and extremely compassionate and helped us make some difficult decisions concerning our parents' care. We always felt welcome when visiting our parents - everyone at The Terrace felt like family.
