(Disclaimer: “staff” refers to who I witnessed and my interaction. I’m not making a generalized statement off one visit about every staff member but my review and concerns apply certainly to the staff that I witnessed and the conditions I witnessed) This facility does not honor their residents and it is so sad to witness people who rely on staff to care for them be let down in such a way. Residents are left in their beds with water cups from the previous day. The staff doesn’t prioritize residents mobility which further makes them immobile. Residents are left in their beds in soiled linens and offered no engagement activities or even the option to watch tv. For the more mobile residents who gather in the halls and try to partake in conversation and social interactions, they were outright ignored. I witnessed several conversations initiated by lucid residents ignored by the staff. I came by this facility since I was in town to visit a relative and I am utterly shocked by the state of the facility and the flippant demeanor of the staff. During my visit, I came to the front desk to ask for a sharpie and when returning that sharpie, I was standing there to hand it back and was met with a completely unprofessional interaction by one of the facility nurses completely initiated by her which speaks to the norms of how the staff interact with each other. I do not question that the role of the staff is challenging but I feel that compassion and professionalism are the bare minimum and I did not witness either of those. I called the administrator, April as soon as I left to share these concerns and look to provide further details and I am awaiting a response. It is most upsetting that this facility positions itself as a place to care for our elders and that is not what I witnessed. No matter the circumstances that brought them to the facility, every person deserves to have their dignity intact as they navigate the aging process and that is not happening here. My heart breaks for the residents in this facility. The staff needs professional development and accountability measures put in place that prevent these outcomes. Very minimally conversations around If they are not going to care for the people in their building then they should leave and make room for people who have the heart to complete this work. I’m open to suggestions on next steps.

I am so grateful for the wonderful care my mom receives at Curis Concord Nursing Rehabilitación. The staff is exceptional—kind, attentive, and always go above and beyond to ensure the residents feel comfortable and valued. It's clear that they truly care about the well-being of each individual. The patients here always look happy and well taken care of, which speaks volumes about the dedication of the team. The facility itself may not be fancy, but it is clean, well-maintained, and always smells fresh. It’s a peaceful, safe environment that I feel good about my mom being in. The only thing I wish they had is a dedicated family gathering area. It would be great to have a space where families can gather and spend quality time with their loved ones. Overall, I am very pleased with the level of care and attention my mom receives, and I highly recommend Curis Concord Nursing and Rehabilitación to anyone looking for a compassionate and caring place for their loved ones.

After my mother’s stroke, I had five choices from which to choose regarding a rehab facility and I made my decision based on online reviews. Curis had solid positive reviews so, that’s where we landed. Sounds simple enough however, my mother’s health has been in a state of decline for some years and this was not the first endeavor with rehab facilities and we’ve been to a few others in the past. I know if you’re reading this review, time for you is short, and you’re probably in a rush to find a place for loved ones so I’ll try to be concise. The transition from the hospital was seamless, they made It easy for us. The staff all took an interest, even the dietician asked about meal planning. The nursing staff is cheerful, and willing to help, READILY. I can’t say enough about the nursing staff. The physical therapy department is bright, open, and clean. That PT staff is top notch as well. Positive and optimistic, I think that’s beneficial to patients in a huge way. Simply heard; our stay at Curis has been a positive time. I honestly don’t know if you can find a better facility but, I know for a fact there are a few to avoid. Lastly, I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Curis Concord. Everyone there has been a tremendous help in a trying time. Best regards Thomas Wasson Note to administrator: You have have a quality staff. Please know that they are doing a great job for you.

Curis Concord Nursing has some of the nursing staff along with a new physician that are willing to work with their clients and keep them happy and healthy while they are in their care. Whether the client is there for rehabilitation or for skilled nursing, the staff is there to provide the loving support for their needs. Coming from a nurse that has always said that she would never work at a nursing home, this would be the one I would take the time to consider working at after seeing how they have taken great care of my mother-in-law and wonderful church friend.

My mother-in-law has been at Curis for six months now. At first we were concerned about moving her to a skilled nursing facility, but the care she has received has been great. The staff are friendly and attentive and take time to pay sincere attention to the residents. She had previously been at an assisted living center and did not receive the care she deserved. She says that she’s glad to be at Curis and that they take good care of her. The only negative thing is the facility is older and in need of remodeling which Curis states they have plans to do. We feel comfortable knowing that our family member is well taken care of and treated with respect!
