This place is not good.. my grandmother had a mild stroke and she was sent to this nursing home for over a month and they just left her in bed the whole time she was there. She was never exercised or anything, when she came home she could barely walk and was in pain.. she can't stand well now because of lack of exercise.. I would never have my grandmother go back here.. they even missed placed her clothes and lost them....I feel extremely bad for all the people that have to live here for long periods :(

Please choose another facility! Don't subject your loved ones to this. Yes, staff is rude, but trust I can be more rude if needed so that doesn't bother me as much as the poor patient care. I left a message for the administrator yesterday to call me regarding the lazy, rude staff, but no return call received... that's just unprofessional, first, and it says a lot about this place. My loved one has been here 2 days and I'm already looking for other places. It's just sad when family has to be here all day because staff is not trusted with the well-being of my loved one. I was told by a nurse that there are no colostomy supplies in the building for my loved one. They use the cheapest supplies available and had to change my loved one's colostomy daily because it leaked...absolutely ridiculous when my loved one already has skin breakdown at the site. My loved one is suffering because of this place. My loved one doesn't get any nutritional supplements on meal trays and obviously has a poor appetite so needs at least supplements with EVERY meal. A nurse in particular hates to get up and do her job, away from her computer, like to check on the residents. This nurse is absolutely lazy. A resident was loudly yelling, "help" several times so I got up out of my loved one's room and walked into the hallway pass the resident's room to the nurse's station and told the nurse who was SITTING at the nurse's station on the computer. Please know that this lady's room is right next to the nurse's station. The nurse said she didn't hear the resident yelling. Get up off your butt! I had my loved one's door closed, tv on and still heard it. When the call light is pressed, nobody comes but if you walk to the nurse's station, you'll see the nurse sitting there on the computer. Multi-tasking is apart of nursing! Imagine if my loved one's family wasn't here all day. Nobody would check on my loved one, even when the call light is pressed. Staff didn't come into my loved one's room for 5+ hrs during the day. I was told by staff they had 3 CNA's in the building over the weekend. That's poor patient care AND absolute neglect because there's no possible way to perform proper patient care correctly with only 3 CNA's for the entire building. Staff said themselves that proper patient care was not done, they are not happy working here, that says so much about this place.The admission's person will lie to get you in the building then everything suddenly changes. You won't hear from her. She reminds me of a car salesman. The resident's rooms are outdated and doesn't have the furniture for your loved ones. In my loved one's room they have a stained toilet, small, rusty railed, toddler-looking bed, looks like a 10"/13'' tv on the wall, my loved one is elderly and can't see well so how the heck is my loved one going to see that little tv? They have 2 straight back chairs in my loved one's room which are very uncomfortable for an elderly spouse who stays all day and for the resident. At least have a recliner or Geri chair, bigger tv to see it, and a decent bed that's not rusty for the residents...I'm sure resident's insurance is paying this facility enough to accomodate these things. Thus far, I have NOTHING good to say about this place or the staff. If you feel the way I do then contact the state, contact a lawyer, contact anyone who will STOP subjecting the elderly or anyone else needing this type of assistance to these types of conditions. Please know that I will NOT back down! UPDATE: 5/14/18 In response to the administrator's comment, you were in your office the next day after I left a voicemail. I saw you sitting in there! I asked the receptionist to speak to you, she told me you're in a meeting, so I spoke to the Director of Nursing. There's an infestation of centipedes in the building at night. A staff and I killed over 20 of them. UPDATE: 5/21/18. The administrator still has not called me. My dad fell yesterday and no physician saw him today. I had to ask the nurse to put him on the physician's board to be seen! POOR CARE!

My mom has been here for 5 days and so far so good. Facility is old but is very clean. The staff is nice and very attentive. My mom looks better than she has in a while. The other residents I have seen also seem happy and well cared for. I asked the director about the other reviews. I feel very comfortable with her explanations and glad my mom is here.

This place needs to be shut down and investigated my grandmother went there for 5 days and came home with multiple bruses, a blood shot eye, a cut on her face, hungry, scared, and worst of all a broken ankle. This is no type of place that needs to be in the nursing field. 5 days she was there Lord only knows what would have happened if she had stayed any longer . I promise you that every state agency law enforcement television and newspaper will be notified and I will be seeking a lawyer. This place needs to be closed ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!

My Dad was admitted on Sunday January 19th, 2014 after being discharged from Northeast Medical Center. At first we were apprehensive about him going but he really needed to be monitored for some time. He is not there permanently, he is only there for monitoring and rehabilitation, max of about 2 weeks. On first view the place is pretty nondescript, almost hard to find. It is a low-rise building located on a fairly busy road. Once I found my way inside I was greeted by the receptionist and told how to get to my Dad's room. On the way to my Dad's room I got to see some of the rooms, many people are in two to a room but there are also some private rooms. There is a rehab center, a dining hall, several conference rooms, a beauty and barber shop (not open all the time) a common room and several nurses stations that I passed. The common room was nice with a big tv, lots of books and magazines and many games. It also looked like some arts and crafts were done in there. There is a large courtyard outside that is completely enclosed by the building. it is accessible from many interior rooms and they have paths, chairs, bird feeders and trees/bushes, a very nice place in the spring/fall but not so nice when it is 30 degrees outside. My Dad's room was quaint. He's in a private room, it has a bathroom (no shower) that is updated, the bed, a lockable night stand, wardrobe and a couple of extra chairs. The window is nice and faces the courtyard which he likes. The room was a bit drafty, most of it was coming through the air conditioner unit that is attached to the window. None of the doors lock but I suppose this is for everyone's protection. The people I met have all been great and my Dad says they are very attentive. There were a couple of problems at first but I attribute those to the staff not knowing my Dad's needs. Once we had our care meeting on the 2nd day everything has been good. The workers for the most part seem to enjoy their jobs and are genuinely interested in the wellbeing of the residents. Note that this is a medicare facility so it is not the "Taj Mahal". But, it is clean and the staff seems very good. The TV's in the rooms are small and they probably don't have the latest and greatest equipment but from my limited knowledge of care facilities this seems like a decent place to have your loved ones go if they have to.
