I was at this facility for several weeks. Its appearance is great, but its care is horrible. On Mother’s Day weekend while I was there and after an influx of 15 new patients, I did not receive food or medication the entire weekend. Then the nurse and CNA lied about it. Another time, after physical therapy, the staff left me in a wheelchair in my room’s doorway, when I was unable to sit or stand on my own. I was in so much pain that I was crying and begging anyone to help me. I spent over an hour like that in spite of my pleas, and I suffered for weeks afterwards. I may have fractured my tail bone. The food is horrible. Even more horrible than their food, is their manipulative and officious “food officer,” who imposes unnecessarily restrictive diets on her own whim. I believe based on my experience that she may have sadistic tendencies. Avoid this place! I told her I had an rate autoimmune disease that was in remission. She asked me to tell her about the disease which included a tendency to aspirate, but , again, that I was in remission. From that day forward she only allowed me to have puréed slop. I couldn’t eat it. I lost 20 pounds. It was horrible. Also, I wasn’t bathed the entire time I was there.
