CareOne at Valley in Westwood took exceptional care of my grandmother after she broke her hip. The nurses were compassionate, the rehab team was amazing, and every staff member treated her with genuine kindness and respect. She healed beautifully and stayed encouraged throughout her stay. We’re truly grateful for their wonderful care and highly recommend this facility.

I am writing to express my concern regarding the noticeable decline in the quality of care and overall environment at this rehabilitation and long-term care facility. This facility was once regarded as one of the best I have encountered. A colleague of mine, who works as a social worker in a local hospital, previously spoke very highly of its standards and services. However, significant changes have become evident following a recent transition in administration, including the introduction of personnel from another branch. Under the previous administrators, Caryn and Glenda, the facility demonstrated exemplary leadership, professionalism, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. They consistently handled conflicts with fairness and maintained a compassionate approach toward both residents and staff. Having had a relative admitted to this facility, I have personally observed a substantial shift in operations. There appears to be a marked increase in patient admissions without a corresponding capacity to maintain the same level of care. This has, in my observation, contributed to a decline in service quality and staff morale. Nurses and staff no longer exhibit the same level of satisfaction and engagement as before. Of particular concern, a resident reported experiencing delays in response to calls for assistance, despite the continuous influx of new admissions. This raises serious questions regarding staffing adequacy and patient safety. Given these observations, I am deeply concerned about the current direction of the facility. The previous leadership fostered an environment that felt safe, respectful, and homelike—especially for residents who are far from their families. It is disheartening to see these standards diminish. I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed, and that appropriate actions be taken to ensure that the quality of care, staffing support, and patient safety are restored to the level this facility was once known for.

My 97 year old mom spent 2 weeks in rehab after being hospitalized…her mission was to regain her independence in self care etc before going home. The entire staff was truly committed to getting her there with intense PT/OT every day….and they did! She was ready to go home in 2 weeks! The facility was clean, food mediocre at best but her care goals were exceeded and her mission was accomplished! Thank you Care One!

My grandfather was a resident at CareOne at Valley, and our family had a truly positive experience. From the administration team to the nursing staff and all the way through discharge, the care he received was excellent. Everyone was professional, attentive, and genuinely compassionate, making sure his needs were always met. Communication was clear and consistent, and we always felt informed and reassured about his care. The transition from the facility to home was handled smoothly, which made a big difference for our family during that time. We are very grateful for the dedication and support shown to my grandfather. I would highly recommend CareOne at Valley to anyone looking for quality care for their loved ones.

I can’t say enough good things about CareOne at Valley. My loved one stayed here, and from the moment we walked in, I felt a sense of comfort and trust. The staff truly go above and beyond they are not only professional but also genuinely kind and compassionate. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my loved one was being cared for with such attention and respect. The nurses and aides were always attentive, patient, and willing to answer any questions we had. They treated my family member like their own, and that means everything to me. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Rehabilitation services were also excellent my loved one made great progress thanks to the dedicated therapy team. I’m so grateful for the care and support we received during such an important time. I would absolutely recommend CareOne at Valley to anyone looking for a safe, caring, and professional place for their loved one. Thank you to the entire team for everything you do!
