My father in law was here and they took excellent care of him. Room was always clean and it nor he never had a smell. They were so good to him and us as a family also. I would definitely use this place again. They know what they are doing AND THEY CARE.

My mom lives at Canterbury Gardens Memory Care Community and we are very happy with the care she receives. The staff is caring and attentive. They are quick to respond to her needs. They have activities to keep her stimulated. Having a loved one go through this situation is awful but is helps so much to have a supportive group of people you can rely on. I would highly recommend the Canterbury Gardens Memory Care Community!

My uncle Mike had wonderful Alzheimer's-focused care during his time in the facility. I was very thankful to know he was being well taken care of! There was one staff member in particular that, although not providing direct care to him, always put a smile on his face. Karri O'Brien clearly cares about every patient she gets a chance to interact with. She also acted as a great liaison between family and staff, as well as being able to answer any questions we had, and did a great job of explaining to us what could be expected through the process.

My mom lived at Canterbury Gardens Memory care over 5 years and during that time we came to see her caretakers as part of our family. We owned a hospice in Dallas and therefore felt we had a working knowledge of dementia patients. We were wrong. Countless times we were rescued when I couldn't direct my sweet mom from point A to point B .One notable instance : when I had a glazed look from trying to reason with Mom, (NEVER a smart solution with dementia patients) Becky saw my distress and rallied the troops. Within seconds, the angels swooped in and very calmly and sweetly talked her through the right door. I stood amazed. Theirs is a ministry more than a job... requiring highly developed people skills, education, patience, team work. And big hearts. It's been less than 2 months but I miss (nurse) Lori"s compassion and skill. (Nurse) Susan's down to earth common sense and counsel. (Nurse) Lynn's good humor and character--she once returned a piece of jewelry to me that mom had "discarded". Gretchen's organizational skills ( and effort to keep us connected during this season of covid 19) and her hugs. Karri's warmth and ability to be in several places at once. April's ready smile and capable management skills. Julie's overseeing everyone and everything in detail and going MANY extra miles for us all. And although I don't know every name of the nurses and especially the aides , who have seen to Mom's daily care-- the heavy , necessary, and thankless duty that requires a stamina and gentleness I can't begin to grasp... THANK YOU!!! For doing the heavy lifting so that I can breeze in to take my mom out for a milkshake and look like a hero. YOU are the heroes...and heroes long before Covid 19 showed up.
