I have never seen a more poorly run administration. These people fraudulently took $10K from my father, who is already dealing with enough with my mother’s dementia diagnosis. He doesn’t need to deal with this. $7K was returned to his account on 11/3/25 after my Dad’s bank did a stop payment on the most recent charge, but he’s still due a $3,100 refund for money they fraudulently took from him more than two months ago. I was told it would a check would be overnighted to him immediately on 11/3/25, but as of 11/5/25, no check has arrived.

One star — and that’s only for the staff trying their best with the little they've been given. This facility wrongfully withdrew over $10,000 from my father’s bank account — most of it a full month after we’d already moved my dementia-suffering mother to a new facility. We’ve received no explanation, no receipt, and no effort whatsoever to return the money. We made the difficult decision to move my mom to a new facility more than a month ago after Brookdale increased her monthly rates by more than 25% in just two years. Despite the skyrocketing costs, the care only declined. The facility is chronically understaffed, and they seem to believe that giving a resident more than two showers a week or changing soiled diapers more than twice a day is some kind of premium service — not something covered by an $8,000 monthly bill. To be clear, the staff on the floor are kind and clearly doing their best under impossible conditions. But the corporate side is absolutely shameful — greedy, unresponsive, and entirely indifferent to the vulnerable people they’re supposed to care for. They exploit families like mine, families doing everything possible on fixed incomes to provide dignity and comfort to their loved ones. If you’re searching for care for someone you love, avoid Brookdale at all costs. Look for a privately owned facility where compassion still outweighs corporate profit. Brookdale’s loyalty lies with its shareholders — not with your family, not with their residents, and certainly not with basic human decency.

My husband, Bill was in memory care with Brookdale Creekside in Plano for 10 months. I cannot thank every member of the team enough for the loving care they gave to him AND to me. Fortunately, Bill never lost his sweet, sweet spirit which made caring for him somewhat easier. I so appreciate how he was cared for, but was also impressed that the same attention, patience and kindness was extended to all … even the most difficult residents. Blessings to you all, Jan

My dad has now been at Creekside for 6 months. I can not say enough wonderful things about this staff and home! The staff here considers the residents family and treat them as such. We had my dad's 80th birthday party there this weekend with 30 family members coming by and the staff helped me plan the party and welcomed all the family warmly. I pop in often at all different times so I see many different staff members and their interactions with the residents. My dad has Alzheimer's and we were crushed to have to put him in a memory care home. It was an incredibly smooth transition and we have been thrilled. The administrative staff is very hands on with the residents and the med techs/aides. I highly recommend Brookdale Creekside if your loved one is needing a memory care center.

Brookdale Creekside is a beautiful and warm community. It is in the perfect location right off of Spring Creek Parkway and Custer in Plano. You could feel the love as soon as you walked in. The community is nice, bright, and clean. They have so many neat things going on there for the residents. Definitely take a look at the courtyard and the residents garden when you go visit. The staff was so friendly and caring. The rooms are very spacious and the rates are extremely competitive. If you are in need of memory care for your loved one, I highly recommended Brookdale Creekside.
