Where do I even start? This place is horrible. I was admitted in here on 12/20/24 after needing care from a stroke and beginning recovery start from an eating disorder. I transferred from another state. I was only supposed to be in this crappy facility for 3 months but was in here for 6 months. When I first got here, I had to share a room with another resident. It was annoying because she would push her call button way too much. I eventually got my own room which was a little more helpful. The therapy department didn’t do too much on helping me recover. The lady who works in memory care isn’t the nicest she’d get mad at me when I got frustrated. The food was not so good at times. It would arrive late at times, the food would be cold and the drinks would be warm. They would get my food order wrong at times and then got mad when I asked for extra portions or something different. I’m recovering from an eating disorder and they made my recovery start off worse. Then I’d get yelled at if I refused a meal. I got accused for stuff I didn’t even do, I’ve had pills shoved down my throat by force. I was forced to talk when I didn’t want to. The doctor here is horrible didn’t listen to my concerns diagnosed me with issues I don’t have and never admitted to having. I didn’t like when I signed out to go out in the community they’d ask where I was going like come on I’m a grown adult not a child. Resident scream for help constantly and get ignored by staff. They gave me too many pills and I was literally a walking zombie. My mom addressed this issue and she got completely ignored. They would monitor my phone calls I had with my mom. I would ask for water in the middle of the night and it either took them forever to give me some or they “forgot”. Staff would be in their personal phones while sitting at the nurses station and got annoyed when I would ask them for something. Shower were too cold. I hated this place it’s basically a prison. Please avoid sending your loved ones here if you can. I’m glad I finally got out of here and I will not ever step foot in this place ever again. This place needs shut down.

Too much to list here. Anything you've heard , it's probably actually worse.

Brickyard Healthcare is beyond deplorable. My grandma was in there for just two weeks and the amount of issues we had as outrageous. They had a diabetic patient on a regular diet that allowed them to give her ice cream and super sugary meals. The meals were often unrecognizable and even asked an employee what it was and they responded, “I don’t know.” I understand that they are busy, but when you rely on the staff for a warm nutritious meal…and often get cold and gross meals you tend to go hungry. The main issues we had while she was at Brickyard was that she had a leaky toilet that caused the tile to buckle. The floor was left soaked causing it to be a major trip hazards. Their response to our concern was to throw a wet floor sign in front of the doorway. See the attached photos below. An additional issue that we had was, when walking down the hallway we heard a women yelling out from her bathroom in her room. I walked to the nurses station and told them what room it was. We hung around the hallway for about 15min before anyone went to check on her. If this resident had fallen, ir hurt herself she could have been serious hurt. 15min can make a difference between life and death especially in the elderly population. There are additional photos of the room my grandmother stayed in attached below. Most of the positive reviews posted here are from staff.
