BEWARE! Do not send your loved one here. Most places look great on surface..Watch the Day nurses.Bring in outside medical. My brother Handicap disabled with Severe TBI wheelchair bound() was neglected and discriminated by the head DAY nurse in charge of ALF. Rushed to hospital by the NITE NURSE . Cecily Nurse in charge ignored him. Pneumonia! everyday. She Day nurse was irritated when she told me he was repeating himself. After the several times my brother complaining to Cecily, he brought his urine container with blood in it to prove to her. She never looked at it, she scolded him & ignored him. She complained to me about him bringing his urine outside his door, I told her if he is complaining after 3 days that there is something wrong. I cared for him 16 yrs. He saved the container for me to see. I witnessed her bully her young staff to get her to say what she wanted her to say, she fabricates. Hangs out sitting around with young staff. Residents left to fend for themselves. ** After two weeks he was rushed to hospital by NIGHT nurse. Not , Cecily the day nurse. Night nurse took his temperature and called ambulance...Cecily did nothing but complain. She never listen to his cries out for help nor view the blood in his urine container. She has NO patience and it bothered her that he repeated himself. After he left hospital, he was placed in rehab next door. I know now she wanted to get rid of him. There was no reason to send him to rehab to the building next door, He was already getting P/T where he resides. Director Jeff in P/T dept, told me it was because he was getting P/T every day, HE DID NOT". Director Jeff & Nurse Cecily working together trying to place my brother in a nursing facility. Within a week of rehab Director Jeff promise to send him back to his room, Jeff lied to me on many issues. He changed his insurance without my knowledge. He manipulated My brother in making decisions on his own.He could not comprehend. They knew this due to his TBI, I was told by a respectful medical source and a resident they were also doing the same with a female resident with TBI.Trying to get rid of her. Director Jeff who is in charge of P/T and ALF is even worse. Controlling with no conscience. His famous words to me every time i tried to defend my brother, rightfully. "Well things change" Really? Why? Because you say after one week of spending time with him? Director Jeff once a physical Therapist runs the whole show is a controlling individual. He thinks he knows everything. He is not a doctor. It's his way or the highway. Family had NO say. . Now I have legal documents available. I offered medical records to Jeff he declined them. How could he? It did not matter because their minds were made up to place him in a nursing home.He misled the family.I guess I knew in my gut. The first 4 weeks my faith got the best of me trusting they would do the right thing. After 2 months almost 3 months of collecting rent, knowing he wouldn't return. WOW! Almost felt like a scam. The whole time nothing in my heart felt right about this. I had no choice at the time. I carry a medical POA and now Legal document from a lawyer to make decisions for my brother, I have an attorney now. After spending months in rehab. I transferred him out to another rehab Alliance rehab in Deland.be re-evaluated for ALF. Recently I have filed complaints against facility with AHCA. **I am happy to report my brother as of November to date, 8 months later, has been living independently in another ALF facility. Alliance Rehab took my brother in for over 2 months and got him back on track. Social worker Etc Thank you! Alliance took a weak fragile man confused man and gave him his life back They re-assured me my brother would be able to live independently. P/T & the nurses.Blue palm wanted nothing to do with the challenge of a disabled, wheelchair bound TBI. I will not let this go. I have spoken to other families and we all agree that these facilities hire bad, inpatient nurses. They are the ones you have to watch.Never had issues with staff.

Response to Owner: My father's advance directives and my explicit instructions as his Healthcare Surrogate were not important to you when he was alive. Your sympathy rings hollow when your actions spoke louder than any words ever could. Please avoid this facility at all costs. They show no genuine interest in rehabilitation. Despite my father’s clear advance directives and repeated family requests, the staff heavily over-medicated him throughout his stay. He was kept sedated and confused almost constantly, which made any meaningful physical therapy or recovery impossible. If you care about your loved one’s dignity and chance to improve, do not send them here.

I’ve been at blue palms assisted living for coming up on two years in June, this place truly does care about its residents especially the med techs, Mariah, shenique, and Kelis are truly amazing and will go above and beyond for you. The weekly menus are good except for what’s up with all the carrots every week? the housekeepers are great and cicely and berry at the front desk is the type of people where if you need something done quick they’re right there. Overall I love living here and would recommend it to anybody who asks keep being awesome blue palms!

Blue palms is truly an amazing facility, the house keepers work so hard to keep everything clean and make sure our rooms are clean every week, the med techs make sure our medications are on time and that we’re taken care and so many go above and beyond beyond. Jeff and cicely do such an amazing job running the building and making sure everyone is happy and well taken care of. Blue palms truly is amazing and I will always recommend it to anyone that asks from the food, to the atmosphere, to the people, blue palms is the best there is.

My mother was a resident here and when they were Good Samaritan they were amazing. My mom passed away on 12/23/2025 was no surprise her dementia won. What was a surprise is that the only call I received was from hospice to tell me the facility called her and told her they thought my mom has passed and the hospice nurse was on her way to confirm. She called back and said yes was deceased. I still have not received one phone call from the facility really?? I can not believe nobody has called offered condolences, beyond wrong! I was going to move her only her dementia was so advanced I didn’t want to move her to a facility that she wouldn’t hear voices she knew. This troubles me so much! She was there about 5 years. Please consider what type of care you want your loved one to have.
