Bienvivir is El Paso's only National Program for All-Inclusive Care of the Elderly (PACE), a community-based healthcare program designed to serve the elderly population while allowing participants to remain in their homes when medically feasible. The program provides a comprehensive plan of care tailored to individual needs, with all services coordinated under one roof.
Participants receive primary care services with increased healthcare management and attention compared to traditional primary care, along with assigned social workers who serve as advocates and facilitators for the participant and their family. The community manages all medications on-site through its pharmacy, which collaborates with the interdisciplinary team and provides access to both prescription and over-the-counter medications.
Bienvivir addresses nutrition through a comprehensive meal service backed by registered dietitians who work with the kitchen team and interdisciplinary staff. Participants have unlimited access to physical and occupational therapy, with speech therapy available through trusted specialists within the provider network. Additional services include onsite comprehensive dental care, outpatient services such as wellness, lab tests, radiology, and select surgeries.
The community prioritizes mobility and convenience through wheelchair-accessible bus services for travel to facilities and specialist appointments. In-home services encompass attendant care, skilled nursing, and compassionate end-of-life care, including hospice services.
Bienvivir offers diverse recreational programs ranging from bingo and concerts to art and crafts activities, designed to keep participants active and engaged. Enrollment in the PACE program is determined by the State of Texas, and Bienvivir assists applicants through the application process.
