My Daughter has been in & out of several care facilities over the last couple of years and the Administrator Christina has always been prompt in answering my calls & questions. We Love our daughter very much and want nothing but the best for her. We live in another State and can only be here in Florida during the winter months so it truly means a great deal to our entire family that she receives the wonderful care she does at Best Care on 40th Street in Tampa.

Best Care is probably one of the worst assisted livings I've had the displeasure of coming across. If you don't believe me, you can easily go to the AHCA website, search their name and see all the violations and fines they've accumulated just over the last few years. Elopement, medication issues, staff not being able to identify residents who have issues, staff not having the proper training. I have no idea how this facility keeps it license, sad. Administrator couldn't care less, just lines the pockets of the owners I guess.

Horrible facility, horrible administrator and staff. This place is the lowest of the low and I feel for any individual who ends up here. I consider what I saw there neglect. You want to call the facilty? Enjoy getting rerouted to a third party answering service in another country. Actually get the administrator or staff on the phone? Enjoy a bad attitude and no care. There are plenty of other options in Tampa to place your family, this is by far the worst of them.

One star is too much for Best Care, and being called "Best Care" is almost like a sick joke, because that's the complete opposite of what they offer.<br><br>Honestly, placing my father here was one of the biggest regrets of my life, and I hope no one else has to go through what we did. My father spent seven miserable months here, and if you're looking for a place that actually cares about your loved one, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. I went off the recommendation of the administrator from his previous facility and, unfortunately, trusted that recommendation. I was unable to tour the facility beforehand due to being out of state and unable to travel due to health issues. I've learned there's very few people in this business that have your loved ones best interest at hand.<br><br>From the beginning, this facility felt more like a prison or psychiatric ward than a home. There’s one depressing hallway, one cramped dining area, and not an outdoor space where residents can get fresh air on their own. The atmosphere is cold and uninviting—just a place to store people, not care for them. The residents spend their days staring into space with no activities, no TV, nothing to engage them or bring them joy.<br><br>But that was just the beginning. My father was physically attacked there, and no one in administration seemed to care. I would go weeks without being able to reach him, even after countless calls and texts. The staff is stretched so thin, I'd imagine to maximize profits, and my calls would get routed to an overseas call center rather than an actual person on-site.<br><br>When I finally got to see him, I was horrified. He was missing his dentures and glasses, had lost 40 pounds, and looked like he was barely being fed or clothed. All he had was one pair of clothes and no shoes. When I questioned him having only the clothes he was wearing, they suddenly "found" some mismatched clothing clearly labeled with other residents’ names. He ate two full meals the moment he left, proving he had been starving, not disinterested in eating.<br><br>The administrator, Cristina, was by far the worst part of this entire nightmare. Over the years, I've had to deal with various facilities, but I’ve never encountered someone so dismissive and unfeeling. Every call with her felt like I was an inconvenience. She had an attitude every time I reached out, couldn't be bothered to introduce herself when we first met, and treated my father as if he was just another body to check off on her list. It was clear she didn’t care at all about him or any other resident—she cared about job security and clocking out at the end of the day...a typical "paycheck collector". The rest of the staff looked and acted like they were picked off the street.<br><br>To the owner, Basim Saed: how do you sleep at night, knowing that this is how your facility operates? It’s clear that you care about profit over people, and that mentality trickles down to every person who works here. This isn’t care—this is neglect. Please, for anyone else reading this, spare your loved one from this place. And be aware they own several facilities in the Tampa Bay area. Also, LOOK at the reviews. LOOK at the names, LOOK at the owner's name. Any 5 star review here is 100% fake and made by employees and family/friends of the owner.
