About Bayley Home Services

A Rich History

Bayley is a non-profit retirement and wellness community founded by the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati in 1990. It is located on 23 beautiful rolling acres in Delhi on the west side of Greater Cincinnati.

Over the years, Bayley staff has completed four development phases that have taken the property from a quiet pastureland to a lively and active community, home to over three hundred residents and used daily by hundreds of local community seniors.

Residential options on campus include independent living cottages, assisted living, memory care, rehabilitation services and skilled nursing care. Bayley services and programs include the fitness club, rehabilitation services, adult day program and home services.

Our rich history as a ministry of the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati is a blessing that influences all we do and have accomplished. Over 1700 families have used our services and resided under our care since we opened our doors in 1990 and the numbers continue to grow. It is a privilege to serve the community in this capacity. Guided by our mission and the Sisters of Charity legacy, we continue to flourish and are taking the measures necessary to sustain the Bayley ministry for future generations.

Bayley offers progressive services for adults through two service lines:

Bayley Services is a collection of programs enabling older adults still living at home to enjoy community and fellowship, and includes:

I was in Bayley for rehab after a knee replacement. The nursing staff really helped me when I was recovering just a few days after the surgery. My physical and occupational therapists were top-notch and helped me regain my strength and mobility every day. After a few weeks, I was ready for discharge, but I decided to stay an extra week so I could be walking without any assistance, ie using a cane. Since it was winter, I was able to walk in the hallways, building up strength, endurance and confidence, knowing help was there if I needed it. My doctor was shocked when he saw me at my 6-week follow-up appointment. His first question was How Did I Do it? It took me about 5 weeks to be walking unaided, ie no walker or cane. (Actually, I was walking in my room after 3 weeks, but just getting around in my room). I am extremely grateful for everyone's help and assistance.

Bayley Home Services has been a wonderful support for our family. Their caregivers are kind, dependable, and truly care about the people they help. Communication is easy, and the staff always go above and beyond to make sure every need is met with compassion and respect. It’s a huge comfort knowing our loved one is in such capable, caring hands. I would highly recommend Bayley Home Services to anyone looking for quality home care for a senior family member.

My father was fortunate to be in the Bayley system and after a week in the hospital, was admitted to Bayley. Because of his condition, we unfortunately had to call in Hospice. After going through a similar situation 3 years earlier with my father in law in another nursing facility, I had very low expectations. Fortunately, our experience with Bayley was night and day in comparison. My father in law was stripped of his dignity while my father’s experience was quite the opposite. The STNAs and Nurses were nothing short of fabulous; compassionate; available; attentive; proactive;!kind; personable, treating our family with respect and my father with love and dignity. While we lost my dad after his 2+ week battle, we were blessed with fabulous support in a clean and welcoming environment. Thank you Orchard team! You hold a special place in our hearts!

Everyone is nice there. That's about all I can say positive. 5 days before being released we set up a care plan for my dad. Day of and noting was right. Literally nothing. I spent 10 hours trying to fix, I'll try again tomorrow. Wrong medicine, supplier didn't show and the home care company didn't show. In my opinion, you go to Bailey to die. That's a shame! I had high expectations and they were dashed. I wanted to give 1 star but I have more heat than they do so I gave it 2 stars. If you're sending a loved one here, be their advocate. they will need you. I'm totally let down by expectations.

I cannot say enough great things. Thank you bayley for making a difficult time, comforting. Upon admission, staff was on it. Noticing things immediately, encouraging fluids, getting a meal tray, finding an issue with skin integrity and handling it immediately. I can leave mom without massive guilt. And Missie, the social worker. She has been amazing and had gone out of her way to deal with our difficult and demanding family. She recognizes that we all just care about our mom and had gone way out of her way to assist us in finding long term placement for mom. My only wish is that they had a long term bed available for my mom but I certainly get why they don't. This place is amazing!! And I don't want to leave out therapy. They got my mom mobile again through a difficult and painful injury with a side diagnosis of alzheimers/ dementia. She can refuse and be difficult at times but they never let her quit.
