Not sure what the negative reviews are about. I've lived here at Ashcroft for almost three years now and yes, for awhile I had bedbugs. Ashgrove immediately called a professional exterminator and continued on a schedule until critters were gone, but I also acquired bed bugs in my last apartment. I suspect from riding the bus. You have to throw a lot of your furniture out and most people won't do that. So bugs never go away. Staff is nice, but limited. Apartment manager comes only two days a week. Social worker is here 3 days. There's also a regular maintenance guy. Apartments are small, but well kept. There's parties, games, free dinners, barbeques and other activities. Rent is extremely inexpensive, about 25% of your income. Small pets are allowed. There is an on site laundry for tenants and age limit is 62 and over. I've been very happy here, but it's not a nursing facility. You have to be able to care for yourself.
