Its not good place to have loved ones. I visited recently to see my Dad and the floors were nasty,bathroom trash cans was filled to brim and also he haven't gotten a shower just a bed bath. 10/10 Wouldn't recommend!!

We are so grateful for the excellent care that Norma received at Altercare Hartville! Everyone was so helpful and gracious! They clapped her out of the building when she was released and gave her so many hugs! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I'm not happy with the care my Mom had her last night and half day of life. One of the aids was very immature. She didnt wipe her butt after a poo and left her all dirty. This caused her pain. When told to clean her up, she acted grossed out. Her and another aid then sat and discussed how to wipe her. It seemed to me like they just didn't want to do it. The other problem is the fact Mom was transitioning and nobody was watching her. She was struggling to breathe when I got there and had to call out for help. One lady came storming down the hall and the aid said, just the nurse you need to see. Instead of stopping to check on my dying mother, she walked past and made some snarky comment on how she was too busy. I was crying the whole time. The only person that had any sense was the one nurse who gave her meds to help her sleep. My Mom passed away later that day. If you decide to bring your loved one to this place, I recommend keeping your eye on them yourself so they are not being neglected. I believe these places are terrible no matter what.

We are very particular and protective of my sister who is in rehab here. She is special needs and will be turning 71 years old. Everyone has treated her as a real person with needs and feelings. All who come in her room make sure they speak to her and encourage her to participate with therapy to get better. Any and all questions we have had concerning her care have been met with professionalism and personal guidance. My needs and concerns have been met as well. Remember she is my older special needs sister and I am her little sister, if she is happy, I am happy. Thank you to all the staff.

I am in charge of the Senior programming at the Lake Community YMCA and Altercare of Hartville is absolutely wonderful! They have been a huge supporter of the active older adult community here at the Lake Community YMCA. They have provided lunches, speakers, give-a-ways and important information to our members! The staff is so friendly and caring! We have had several doctors who have come in to do talks to our group verify that Altercare of Hartville does a fantastic job and they would highly recommend them! I have heard nothing but good things about their facility and staff!
