My Husband Fred was at Aliya in Oak Lawn for about 6 weeks. This place is newly remodeled, clean and the staff is amazing, Shout out to KC who gave me a tour of the place. Very nice, friendly and answered all my questions. The staff members were very nice and on top of anything my husband needed. I wanted to thank Michelle Fred’s Nurse she was a joy to work with and took really care of fred, shout to the the CNA girls Mashada who Fred called Happy cuz she was always happy and smiling cuz she loved her job, and very sweet also Angel and Michelle took care of all Fred’s needs and always would check on him. Fred loved these ladies The Therapy team was amazing, worked with Fred on getting on track to walking again, made sure he didn’t give up. Our family felt comfortable with everyone there including the front desk greeters, I love this place and felt welcomed by everyone including the residents who always would say Hi. Thank you Aliya Of Oak Lawn, I will be sure to recommend you Sincerely The Diorio Family 🩷

DON'T SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE! IF YOU HAVE RELATIVES THERE, DOCUMENT YOUR FINDINGS AND REPORT THEM TO IDHP! I have a looooooooong list of violations. Check their books at the front for IDHP results. I got my mother out of there just in time in 2025. She was grossly neglected and abused and her health was in a swift decline after admittance. She was improperly medicated and I was improperly informed of my mother's condition 98% of the time I inquired about her current state of health. Administration is awful and unresponsive; the CNAs and nurses are unprofessional and have the worst bedside manners. There is a high turnover rate for staff as well. There are always a few people who are an exception to rule and I have names of those individuals. The facility is outdated, dirty, and needs pest control badly. I was told by several medical advisors that I need to find a better facility ASAP and that facilities in Chicago is NOT a place for good care. DO YOUR RESEARCH AND REPORT EVERYTHING! Will add photos of the facility and more details as I am legally able to.

My dad spent two weeks at Aliya Rehab, and I can’t say enough positive things about the care he received. At 84 and recovering from surgery, he was treated with genuine kindness, respect, patience, and professionalism from day one. The nurses were attentive, the therapists were outstanding, and he made real progress thanks to their dedication. What stood out most was the compassion—they truly cared and kept our family well informed throughout. We’re very grateful and highly recommend this facility.

Horrible administrative especially Robin. She was the most unprofessional person to deal with. She never called back when we left messages, never communicated properly. I received a call to let me know my mother was being discharged that day. I live out of state! What kind of notice is that for an 86 year old person. Robin should not have a position like that when clearly she doesn't know how to handle the elderly and their families. There never was compassion or empathy with Robin. These are elderly people who deserve respect and not just some number to pass around like cattle. I can give credit to the nursing staff and the matinance team. They were compassionate and the facility was clean. As far as human resources with Robin, she would do better by working on a farm. Her work ethics and lack of communication and compassion leave the elderly with a trail of tears and their families with a trail of confusion. Where is Robins standard of care?

We were referred to Aaliyah by a nurse at Little Company of Mary. My cousin has fallen and broke her hip she’s 82 years old. Please don’t take your relatives there. Her experience was awful. It’s in the process of being rehabbed so there was banging and hammering during the time she was there. I have to give them credit for keeping the place clean. It looks like it was once a motel. The PT was good. OT ok And the social worker was awful. My cousin, after being there for weeks was released with no physical therapy. We were told we could come and get her. She wound up having to pay for a medical van to get home. The director didn’t seem to care much about her patients. I think my cousin saw a doctor once there were no Meeting with the professionals to discuss her going home. I even called the police one night because they would not give her her medicine. I read other reviews, but still did not think it would be as bad as it was. it’s really really really bad. I hear they’re looking for a director and I can see why.
