About A Place Called Home Residential Care

A Place Called Home Residential Care 2 offers assisted living and memory care in Clovis, California, operating 10 homes across five neighborhoods in Clovis and one in nearby Fresno. Each residence is a small 6-bed home in an established neighborhood rather than a wing of a larger facility, with private rooms available.

Care is provided at a 1:3 resident-to-caregiver ratio, with two caregivers present during the day and one awake caregiver overnight. Registered nurses are available 24 hours a day to direct care or visit any home. Home-cooked meals are prepared from scratch by caregivers daily, not catered or reheated. Monthly rates are transparent and all-inclusive, with no surprise level-of-care fees, per-task add-ons, or surcharges as needs change.

The community operates homes across several Clovis neighborhoods: three homes on the same street including the original location opened in June 2012, two homes in the quiet Quail Lake area with mature landscaping, one home in Harlan Ranch, and another on Montana Avenue near Shaw and Leonard cross-streets. A fifth home is located in northeast Fresno on Paula Avenue near the North Willow corridor.

A Luxury Living tier includes two homes on Powers and Locan streets that share a private courtyard, with a dedicated chef and complimentary personal services included.

After looking after my sister at home for 8 years, I wondered how she would do at A Place Called Home (specifically, at the Powers Ave. and Newport Bay locations in Clovis for almost 5 years). The answer: Beautifully. That's thanks to the owners and staff, who were well qualified, caring, and unfailingly available. I deeply appreciate their professionalism and compassion with regard to my sister. And I recommend A Place Called Home without hesitation as a setting for expert care.

We were so fortunate to have found David and his staff at APCH for our beautiful aunt. They far exceed the name A Place Called Home. The staff treats our aunt as if she were their loved one and they go above and beyond the care they give to each resident. The staff are always friendly and helpful when we visit and call. The meals that are prepared for the residents are fabulous. Thank you David and everyone who work tirelessly for our aunt and the other residents, who have become our family.

Our loved one moved here from a skilled nursing facility in Sept. 2016. The home, in a safe, gated community, is warm & inviting. The backyard is filled with beautiful flowers, fruit trees & vegetables. The cozy patio area is a perfect place for the residents to enjoy the sunshine. The staff is very kind & caring; they made a point of going above & beyond to add the little touches that make the residents feel special. The meals are not only healthy & nitritious, but tasty too. Eldercare can be challenging, but this company made things easier for us because we knew she was in good hands
