I don’t typically write reviews - I usually rely on reading others’ - but I felt compelled to share my family’s experience with Woodland Heights.<br><br>Making the decision to move our loved one from our care into an assisted living community was incredibly stressful. We had been caring for him ourselves for years, so trusting others with his well-being, and placing him in a completely new and unfamiliar environment, felt overwhelming. More than anything, we wanted to feel confident that his individual needs would be consistently and attentively met.<br><br>With that in mind, we toured several communities. One felt cold and institutional, while another was vibrant and welcoming but large, with a more corporate feel. Woodland Heights stood out immediately. It felt warm, homey, and genuinely welcoming. It had a familial vibe. It also struck the perfect balance in size - not too small, but not overwhelmingly large either. Although our first impression was excellent, we were prepared to keep exploring other communities if that feeling didn’t hold true on follow up visits. (Spoiler alert: we didn't end up exploring any other communities after all.)<br><br>During our visits, the staff took the time to answer all of our questions. Everyone was friendly, and both residents and staff seemed genuinely happy. We paid close attention to how staff interacted with residents, and what we observed was consistently kind, patient, and sincere. We even had the opportunity to speak with a family member of a current resident (unsolicited, while they happened to be out front). Hearing firsthand that their loved one was well cared for, and that the staff was attentive and responsive, gave us added reassurance.<br><br>The dining room is especially lovely, filled with natural light from a wall of windows and surrounded by beautiful scenery. While our loved one doesn’t typically participate in group activities, it was clear that there are many available.<br><br>After four months at Woodland Heights, the transition couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Our loved one is very happy - especially with the people - and that means everything to us.<br><br>We feel incredibly fortunate to have found such a special place. Woodland Heights is such a gem. We truly can’t imagine our loved one anywhere else.

Woodland Heights is very professional caring facility. The caregivers are amazing! The grounds are beautiful and well taken care of. Good variety of food on their menu. Activities are fun. Peaceful place to live.

My mother has lived at Woodland Heights for at least eight years. Simply put, the place is wonderful. The care is excellent. As my mother has become more fragile I have had the opportunity to see how much they care. I have nothing but praise for the entire staff.

Woodland Heights is a very professionally run assisted living facility. The administration is top notch and the care givers kind and caring. The grounds are beautiful with flower gardens and walking paths. My mother has been a resident for the past five years. She loves the food, a calendar full of fun things to do and a very friendly staff. Mom has so many great friends at Woodland Heights including many on the staff.<br>Brad Stoffer
