This is the worst place ever! If you care about your loved ones do NOT consider Woodcrest ! The management is horrible! It may look clean and presentable however it is NOT! No staff stays and the turn around is faster than lighting! All the genuine caring staff have left because of management & the way the facility does NOT care about their residents ! Extremely under staffed! They have zero activities at the facility , NO trips outside the facility to stores or events! It offers nothing !!! It’s all fake to sucker you in and take your money!! They have taken every penny from my loved ones and do not leave them with anything for personal necessities or bills. They only care about money not the residents needs or happiness! They continue to keep residents that need another level of care instead of advocating for their needs to be met elsewhere. They refuse to apply for Medicaid so they can take every dollar at private pay verse Medicaid rate! They do not provide cable ! The doors are open 24/7!!! They have nobody at the front desk ever!! I have personally walked in at late hours of the night with nobody knowing! Their is no security precautions at all!! Anyone can walk into facility or out at anytime and nobody would know! It’s scary to think all these residents are not protected nor the employees! Anything could happen. They have zero memory care and should NOT be allowed to have dementia residents ! I’ve brought all these concerns to management and only get an attitude and no resolution ! I even met with the owner personally who could careless and did nothing! I know prior staff has tried addressing concerns prior to quitting as well! It’s NOT a safe or caring place at all!

Most recently this past Friday my grandfather eloped from woodcrest! At 92 yrs old with dementia advancing I have voiced my concerns and fears of this happening! My grandfather crossed 4 lanes of dangerous traffic on west Henrietta Rd! He made it all the way to Lehigh station rd by NYS thru way walking with his walker. It was cold out and he had pajamas on with no jacket! Thank god someone called 911 to rescue him! He was gone for almost 2 hours and the facility didn’t even know he was missing!! I received the phone call from MC sheriffs and rushed to the scene. I was advised that he tumbled falling and because he was so cold he needed to be transported to the hospital for an evaluation ! I then called the facility and after no answer 3x calling I advised them of the situation ! Absolutely scariest horrible experience ever ! The fact my Grandfather is alive and wasn’t hit is truly a miracle of god! This facility won’t get another chance of having my loved ones in their care after this! Beware of this place!!! Do NOT recommend!

The staff here goes above and beyond! My parents have been at Woodcrest for almost a year, and I cannot say enough good things about Jackie, Moe, Alex, Lexi, & Liliana! (I know there are more who have loved and cared for Dad and Mom, I just don’t know all their names…) The facility director, Athena and caseworker, Shadajah have always been available for questions and quick to offer solutions!
If you are looking for a great place to give your parents the care and comfort they need when they can no longer care for themselves, look no further!

The staff at Woodcrest Commons have made my mom’s transition to assisted living incredibly smooth and comforting. From checking in regularly, bringing broth when she wasn’t feeling well, to helping with things like misplaced chargers benefits—they’ve gone above and beyond. Special thanks to Athena, Shadajah, Elizabeth, Eve, and many others. The care, attention, and warmth here mean the world to our family.

— A grateful family member

This is the WORST uncaring facility I've ever experienced in my life and the director Althena is the nastiest person and does not care for these elderly people. I can image how she treats her own parents this is just a job for her no Compassion at all and always has a very nasty attitude they need new management and caring people
