The Summit at Brighton Independent Living

The Summit at Brighton is an independent living community for adults 62 and older in Rochester, New York, operated as part of a continuing care retirement community that provides access to all levels of care on one campus. The community offers spacious one- and two-bedroom apartment homes with privacy, comfort, and first-class amenities and services.

As part of a larger continuum of care, residents at The Summit have access to rehabilitation services following hospital stays, memory care with 24/7 support for those with dementia, full-time nursing care in Green House Cottages and the Farash Tower, and a patient-centered primary care practice. Speech, language, physical, and occupational therapies are available both on campus and in residents' homes to build strength and confidence.

The community features a vibrant cultural arts calendar and active programming coordinated by dedicated Community Life staff. Residents participate in fitness classes from JCC instructors, live performances by musicians from the Eastman School of Music and Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, resident-led art projects, educational seminars, games, outings to local attractions, spiritual services, and visits from therapy animals.

The Summit is situated on beautiful grounds with walking trails, community gardens, and ponds. Residents enjoy spacious community areas, including a new outdoor patio for entertaining, and benefit from the removal of homeownership maintenance responsibilities. A new four-story residence with 35 luxury apartment homes is scheduled for completion in early 2027.
