Lilac Grove

Lilac Grove is an independent living community for adults ages 62 and older in Rochester, New York. As part of the Jewish Home campus, it offers rental apartments designed with comfort, convenience, and community in mind, with access to a full spectrum of supportive services and amenities.

The community features spacious one- and two-bedroom apartments, with one-bedroom units with dens also available. Apartments include fully equipped kitchens with granite countertops and modern, energy-efficient appliances, wall-to-wall carpeted bedrooms, and window treatments. Monthly rent includes utilities, internet, and cable TV. Residents enjoy maintenance-free living with snow removal, lawn care, and trash removal included, along with ample outdoor parking at no charge and carports available for an additional fee.

Lilac Grove residents have priority access to a range of health care and home care services available through the Jewish Home campus, including licensed home care, physician services, physical and occupational therapy, short-term rehabilitation, and skilled nursing care. A la carte services such as housekeeping, companion care, and transportation can also be scheduled as needed.

The community offers numerous on-site amenities and programs to support active engagement. These include an on-site fitness room with group exercise classes, a community room with kitchenette and fireplace, outdoor patios with shaded seating and gas fire pits, art classes, classical music concerts, and wellness offerings throughout the campus. An Activities Coordinator manages programming to foster social connection among residents.

The Jewish Home campus provides additional specialized care options for residents as needs change, including memory care, rehabilitation following hospital stays, skilled nursing care in Green House Cottages and the Farash Tower, and therapeutic services such as speech/language, physical, and occupational therapies. Educational programs and resources on positive aging are also available to residents and families.
