I’ve been to homeplace on numerous occasions to visit and I love the atmosphere and how there are separate (but connected) living areas depending on a residents care needs. I’ve also noticed for a memory care facility, that having the ability to go outside and to other areas while being safe helps those that feel the need to ‘go somewhere’ all the time. Any care staff I have met have been friendly and professional. Everything is well monitored, the spaces and living areas are clean, and overheard staff say they clean not only throughout the shift but at shift change too. A great place to have loved ones who struggle with memory impairment. I’ve met with the executive director, the front staff and the activity coordinator, and they’ve been very warm and inviting. They also have games going too! Today they were playing bingo.

My mom, June Brock, has been a resident of Oak Harbor Home Place since May of 2024. Because of the professionalism and super caring nature of the entire staff, she settled in to her new home with ease. She really love being there. The staff has taken her in and treats her with a ton of love and total respect, just like she was their own family member. I am so thankful for Home Place Oak Harbor. I know June is in great hands and safe. That means the world to me!! Thank You Home Place!’

HomePlace Oak Harbor is a beautiful community. The employees are very knowledgeable and attentive. You are always welcomed with a smiling face and it has a very clean homelike feeling about it. There really is no place like HomePlace.

My wife has been a resident for 5 1l2 years now. This is a wonderful place for her to be. The staff is all very caring and attentive to her and my needs. The physical setup of the facility is the best. The community buildings all allow free access to each other so residents can visit friends or just see what's going on there, but not be able to wander into the outside world. I love the fact that each community unit has a wide open commons area and each room opens directly into the commons. There are no hallways to get lost in! It's a great place, and I'm so happy that it exists!

HomePlace has a great work environment, clean building, and residents who are well taken care of. They are priority Number 1 and it shows. The staff is always friendly and willing to help. Or just hear you out, if you’re having a hard day. I would highly recommend this facility for your loved one(s). They will treat them like family.
