The staff have been very helpful and supportive and welcoming. Moving into a new environment can be challenging and the staff have made this transition as comfortable as possible. We enjoy the residents. The meals are good. This has been a good decision for us.

Clean, bright, joyful place with friendly helpful staff. All residents I have spoken to in my three visits enjoy Avamere, and are glad they chose it (And I've talked to half a dozen at least!). From front desk staff to those running activities, nursing, etc., all have been engaged, kind and helpful; I only wish I remembered all their names! Special shoutout to Cody who has been professional, friendly and helpful throughout our potential intake. (Have overheard "We love Cody!" in family discussions more than once.)

Hi! Yesterday we had a tour of Avamere in Port Townsend, Washington. Cody was our tour guide and she was very friendly, knowledgeable and very patient with us. During the tour we stopped at her office and she answered many questions. The facility was very clean, the staff and residents were friendly, the lunch was great and we are seriously considering moving there. Thank you! Vic from Seattle

My mother is in Avamere. I have been very pleased with the facility and the staff. It's very hard on her since my Dad died and COVID's isolation only makes it worse. She's in her 90s and has disabilities of that age. But the staff supports her in her daily life needs, gives her human contact with an honest and heart warming friendly and kind approach, and makes it as easy as possible for her, given the need to keep her and all the other residents safe from infection. I can meet her and visit outside knowing they will make sure she has her warmest coat on now that is winter. I can bring her presents, photos, home cooked meals, etc. and they will carry them. I'm grateful as I live alone and have to work so I can't always be home to provide the support she sometimes needs.

If you are looking for a place for your loved one, put Avamere on the top of your list to check out. Ultimately we ended up not being able to move mom in because she needed much more care than they where able to provide, (24 hour). We had reserved a room for her in June with Carley who is in charge of new residents. Carley kept in constant contact with us and reassured us there was no rush to move mom in and wanted us to be completely comfortable with the situation when we did. It was disappointing that it did not work out for us, but Carley was extremely gracious about our situation. Our whole experience at Avamere was a very nice one and we would recommend it highly. Thanks Carley!!
