I want to say how thankful I am for Visiting Angels and the care they have given me during my recovery. They really do provide a wonderful service, and I feel like they did a very good job matching me with the right caregiver for my needs. They have also been flexible and responsive whenever we needed anything, which has meant a lot to me and my family. Gwen has been my main caregiver from the very beginning after my surgery, and I honestly do not know what I would have done without her. She has helped me with so many things, including getting in and out of bed, using the bathroom, showering, preparing meals, keeping things around the house in order, taking me to doctor appointments, grocery shopping, and just being there for me. She has also helped and encouraged me with my exercises and physical therapy, even on the days when I did not feel like doing much. When I first came home, I could barely move around at all. One of the biggest things we hoped for was that my caregivers would help me get stronger and more independent again. Gwen understood that from the start. She has been right there with me through this whole long journey, which has been almost a year now. I am now walking with a walker, and I truly believe Gwen has been a big part of helping me get there. Gwen is patient, kind, encouraging, and always has such a positive attitude. She goes above and beyond, not just with the physical care, but also with her compassion and companionship. She has helped me feel more confident and less alone during a very difficult time. I am so grateful to Gwen and to Visiting Angels. Gwen is a very special person, and my family and I feel very blessed to have her in our lives.

We experienced years of this agency who talked the talk…do yourself a favor and keep searching. They do not set their employees up for success… no training, no support, not even experienced employees were hired. Dementia is a horrific disease that needs specific care. They threw many of their employees, who intended to do good for people, into the unknown. Out of a dozen caregivers sent out to care for our loved one, only 2, yes 2, were worth a damn. Looking back, one thing we realized was…Profits over People. Following up on your reply, Kathy, Jim, JoAnn, whoever responded to my review. I was writing on behalf of my partners mother Joan, whom I’ve known for almost 5 years and witnessed firsthand the caregivers you sent out to care for her dementia needs. I’d be happy to list the names of people you sent out… starting with Kim, whom we loved and helped pave the way of this new journey. After that they all fell seriously short of caregivers to be proud of, until you sent Krystina. She was amazing until the end when Joan needed to be moved into memory care. I consider this a valid review.

It is my pleasure to write a review identifying my extreme satisfaction with Visiting Angels. My caregiver and I clicked immediately. He is professional, timely, and willing to do all he can to care for my uncle. My Uncle really loves his caregiver and always speaks highly of him.The caregiver lets me know the moment there is an issue so it can be dealt with. Visiting Angels keeps me abreast of the business we must deal with. I certainly appreciate that! I am glad this agency was referred to me by the hospital for the care of my cherished uncle.

We had high hopes for this agency when arranging dementia care for my father, but our experience was extremely disappointing. We scheduled care twice a week from 9am-2pm to give my mother time to handle personal responsibilities and to ensure my father had some engagement during the day. This is fairly standard support, and we were clear about our expectations. Unfortunately, the caregiver provided did not meet even basic standards of care. During multiple visits, she spent the majority of the time filling out time sheets, watching videos on her phone and at one point was asleep while on duty. This was especially concerning given my father's condition. At one point, my father called us confused and frightened while the caregiver was upstairs and not actively monitoring him. It was even more concerning to find out that our caregiver was napping upstairs during this. We were looking for dependable, engaged support during a very vulnerable time for our family, and this experience did not provide that. If anything, we just feel like we were taken advantage of.
