We have been so blessed with the caregivers we have been assigned for my Dad. They get along with him. They go above and beyond. I am also thankful for the director and the scheduling person. Our experience with Visiting Angels has been nothing but pleasant and helped my Dad to stay in his own home.

My experience with this facility left me disappointed. While some staff members seem genuinely caring and dedicated to their patients, I had concerns about the overall leadership and workplace culture. Based on interactions I observed, communication from management often came across as rude and unprofessional. In my opinion, effective leadership should treat employees with respect and foster a positive work environment. Unfortunately, that was not the impression I was left with. I hope the facility takes steps to improve how staff are supported and communicated with, as that can have a significant impact on both employees and the people they serve.

Dawn has been my mom’s Angel for several months now. She truly is an Angel! I don’t know how we managed before she entered our lives. She is professional and prompt. She is willing to help out with household chores, getting my mom more active, and is just a wonderful companion! I feel like the office staff did a good assessment on my mom to determine with carer would be a match made in heaven. As a family, we couldn’t ask for anything more.

Visiting Angels provides near 24 hour service to my sister who has severe dementia. Ten different Angels care for her. They not only professionally care for her, they also communicate daily with me. In doing so both my sister and I feel secure. My sister also enjoys their company in her home and looks forward to being taken shopping by them. They recently found a hairdresser for her as she couldn't remember the one she had used for years. The services they provide her allow her to continue to live in he house she has lived in for 50 years

Kathy has been an outstanding caregiver for my father. She is genuinely caring, reliable, and a very hard worker. Dad and Teddy, the dog, look forward to her visits. Dad gets a hug when she arrives and when she leaves. Teddy gets a milk bone from her every morning along with plenty of petting. Dad enjoys her company, and they talk throughout the day. She is extremely dependable, always arriving on time and staying in touch if anything comes up. One especially helpful thing is that she drives Dad to his doctor’s appointments and physical therapy. She listens carefully and fills me in on what the doctors say, which I truly appreciate. When Dad naps, she does laundry, dishes, and generally tidies and cleans the house. She works hard and never relaxes, even though we try to get her to take a break. She is also a very good cook, preparing lunch and eating with Dad. I’m happy to see that he has gained some weight. Kathy is wonderful at her job, and I strongly recommend her. However, she is not available, as she will be staying with us for as long as possible. Submitted by Scott Anderson
