The Pearl of Naperville became my mom’s home in 2022, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the incredible staff who cared for her throughout her time there.

The nursing team—including Dakota, Reyna, Jenny (Wound Nurse), Sunshine, Felicia, and Dominique—is truly exceptional. They are compassionate, empathetic, attentive, and genuinely caring. They treated my mom like a queen and always made her feel valued, respected, and loved.

The CNAs also deserve special recognition. Jenny, Cecilia, Lauren, Shaw, Marayah, Tammie, and Kayla provided loving, nurturing, and patient care every day. Their kindness and dedication made a meaningful difference in my mom’s comfort and quality of life.

The front desk receptionists—Brittany, Dyonne, Rochelle, and Grace—are the heart of The Pearl. Whether in person or over the phone, they always greet families with warmth and kindness. Their presence helps create a welcoming, home-like environment where support is always felt.

Chonelle in Admissions is consistently helpful and approachable, always willing to assist with a smile, even beyond admissions-related needs. Romma keeps the facility spotless and brings kindness into everything she does. Maddie, the Social Worker, is compassionate, supportive, and always available when help is needed.

Miguel and Damarius from maintenance were always responsive and willing to help my mom with anything she needed, including small tasks and technology support, always with patience and a smile. Jill, the Activity Director, provides engaging and thoughtful activities for residents of all abilities. Administrator Kevin leads with fairness, kindness, and accessibility, always available when needed.

The Pearl of Naperville is much more than a care facility—it is a true community filled with people who genuinely care.

While our experience was overwhelmingly positive, there are a few areas where improvements could enhance the experience even further. Extending weekend visiting hours would make a meaningful difference for families. After 5:00 p.m., it can be difficult to find someone available to open the doors, especially as staff are managing medication distribution and deliveries. Additional support during these hours would help improve access for visitors while maintaining safety and workflow.

The difference between full-time staff and agency staff was also noticeable at times. The permanent team consistently provides exceptional, compassionate care, and it would be beneficial for them to have more opportunities and hours to continue building those strong relationships with residents. This feels more like a broader staffing or corporate issue rather than a reflection of the on-site leadership, which has always been responsive and caring.

Lastly, the dining experience could be improved. During my mother’s stay, I often supplemented meals with takeout, as some of the food lacked appeal in presentation, flavor, or recognizability. Improving the consistency, presentation, and overall quality of meals would greatly enhance residents’ day-to-day experience.

These comments come from a place of deep appreciation. The extraordinary care, compassion, and dignity shown to my mother by the staff at The Pearl will always be remembered and deeply valued by our family.
